It's no secret that turkey meat is not only delicious, but also very useful. It is moderately fat, thanks to which it is easily digested. And turkey is rich in vitamins and microelements valuable for the organism. But you can cook from it not only dietary and children's dishes. It is easily marinated, baked faster than lamb and pork, and the taste is gentle, but at the same time bright and full. Therefore, it is possible to cook shish kebab from a turkey. Recipes for this dish are quite diverse, but they can be complemented to your own taste.

Meat for shish kebab

The recipe for a shish kebab from a turkey is primarily concerned with fillets. But it is quite suitable for roasting and meat from the thighs. Like a chicken, it is fatter than a breast, but many like it.

How to do it is impossible

The turkey does not need saturated acid marinades at all. Vinegar, lemon juice, dry wine will not be useful to us. All kinds of means like beer, tomato paste and mayonnaise - too. Beer will quickly marinate meat thanks to the content of carbon dioxide, but the taste will affect negatively. Mayonnaise and tomato paste do not apply to marinades in general, they only smear the surface of meat. How to make a marinade

We will need onions, highly carbonated mineral water, salt and spicy spices. You can add home-made tomato or sour-milk products: fermented baked milk, kefir, yogurt. Soda makes the meat tender, leaves all the juices, tastes and vitamins inside, and also serves as a kind of "conductor", helping the seasonings to get inside. Sour-milk products are often included in a shish kebab recipe from turkey or chicken, as they perfectly match with poultry meat, giving it an unusual sour taste.

Stage one - preparation

Too small pieces should not be done - they are easily overcooked, burned or dried. Too large may not be enough to be fried. We will cut the meat in medium pieces, the size of a goose egg. Onions cut into thick rings or slices, like an orange. By the way, it is much more convenient to put on slippers on a skewer.
