Which recipe for drinking water is better?

It is a drink, the historical sources of which go back to ancient times. The classic recipe for drinking water is simple: yeast, sugar and water. Over the centuries, people have experimented, tried, invented, replaced some components, in general, invented. In Russia berg was set on honey or berry juice, and yeast was replaced with peas or hops. Any princely feast ended with a honey-marigold.

In addition to the fact that the brag can be used as a ready-to-drink alcoholic beverage, it is also the basis for making wine or homemade vodka (home-brew). The main process of any recipe for a drink is natural fermentation. The quality of alcohol obtained depends on the degree of completeness of the preparation process.

Let's pay attention to the recipe for drinking water, which is used to make porter or English ale. The preparation of these drinks is based on a strong fermentation of the components. The methods of preparing German beer, on the contrary, provide for a shorter fermentation time. But in Russia the main recipe bregs for drinking used to make moonshine. The best ways of brewing were passed from generation to generation by hereditary moonshiners.

Homemade bregs: a recipe for making a drink from biscuits

One of the most common ways of making a drink is quite simple. The recipe for a quick burger is: yeast, sugar, water and rye biscuits. It is not a secret that there are a large number of possible options for preparing a dope beverage. One of them is a recipe for bergs for drinking from jam. This method allows not only to get a quality product, but also helps to process the surpluses of last year's jam, including candied or fermented.

Method of brewing

  1. The first stage of preparation of a drink is the preparation of a container. As it suits dishes such as a milk cannon or a well washed enameled 30 liter saucepan.
  2. Then in the prepared container it is necessary to put jam or sugar at the rate of 40 liters of water / 10 kg of sugar or jam and pour preheated (to room temperature) water. Also, fruit, berries or raisins are added to the resulting must.
  3. We prepare the leaven. We make yeast in warm water and add it to the resulting must. Thoroughly mix the resulting liquid mass.
  4. The next stage is not simple. You need to determine whether the burglar is "wound up" or not. If the whole process went right, then you will hear a kind of rustle of the brag. This will indicate that the fermentation began (braga started to play).
  5. Final stage. The container with the wort should be well wrapped in a blanket and put in a warm place for a while (from 3-4 days to 2 weeks), during which the fermentation process takes place. Must be mixed daily until ready. Finished braga is light and with a bitter taste. If the taste is dominated by sweetness, it means that the process is not yet complete.

Then brew must be filtered through gauze, folded in several layers, or a sieve. The ready drink can be drunk, or it can be distilled into moonshine.
