Pharmacological action of the drug "Dioxydin"

This antibacterial synthetic drug of a wide spectrum of action, belongs to a number of derivatives of quinoxaline. It is active against infections that were caused by a dysentery rod, vulgar proteome, salmonella, klebsiella, staphylococcus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, streptococci, pathogenic anaerobes. Also, the drug "Dioxydin" acts on strains of certain bacteria that are resistant to chemical drugs (including other antibiotics). The solution of this preparation has a yellowish color, a bitter taste, has no smell.

It is applied externally (for example, prescribe a medicine "Dioxydin" in the ears with purulent otitis), intracavity and intravenously. The mechanism of action of the drug has not yet been fully studied. It is known that the drug "Dioxydin" selectively inhibits the development of DNA in the cells of microorganisms, without affecting the formation of protein and RNA.

Does the use of the drug "Dioxydin" help in the ears with purulent otitis?

When purulent otitis in the case when other antibiotics do not help, the doctor can prescribe the drug "Dioxydin". This medicine quickly removes inflammation and has a local anesthetic effect.

First, the warming compress is applied to the affected ear (you can take a bundle of hot salt), which will speed up the resolution of the inflammatory process. In case of pain, the warming bandage should be removed immediately. Then you need to clean your ear canal. To do this, the auricle is pulled up and back (children - down and back) and gently cleaned with a cotton swab. This procedure should be repeated until the fleece is clean and dry. With a large amount of pus in the ear canal, hydrogen peroxide (alcohol solution, 3%) is preliminarily poured. Only after the purulent secret is removed, it is possible to use an antibacterial preparation - so says the instruction attached to the Dioxydin. In the ear, you must enter a solution heated to 37 degrees. You can replace it with "Tsipromed" medication. When the disease is sluggish, lapis and iodine can also be used.
