What is better for a bathroom: a pipe for warm floors or an IR-film?

Comfort in the bathroom and other rooms is largely due to the condition of the floors. Make them even better by creating warm floors in the bathroom! More recently, the systems of warm floor systems that have appeared in our country have already moved from the category of luxury to the number of benefits available to almost any family. Especially popular is the "water" system.

In this case, the pipe for the warm floors is connected to the heating system and placed in a concrete screed. In many respects the prevalence of this particular variety is associated with its reliability and safety. But is a pipe good for warm floors? Are there any alternative ways to make your home more comfortable?

The simplest way is to mount such a floor on the basis of simple heating mats. They are produced on the basis of a special net on which the heating elements are attached. Among other things, such a mesh is ideal for securely securing the heating element on the floor, and also for its mounting directly in the screed. It should be noted that the uniformity of the heating of the floors largely depends on the correct fixation of the heating element on the mesh.

Since the thickness of the mat reaches a maximum of 5 millimeters, the height of the room during its use varies insignificantly. As you can understand, no pipe for warm floors will give such a result. The main disadvantage of such systems is their rather high cost.

It is necessary to highlight especially some varieties of the warm floor systems:

• The infrared film is quite common , with the use of which the floor rises no more than 3 millimeters. However, it is practically not used by companies that make turn-key repairs.

• The heating cable is less common, but more reliable. It is fixed to a metal grid, which is poured with a cement screed. The floor level can rise by about 5 millimeters.

However, it is worth considering that the screed, tiles and other equipment increase the overall height by about 7 centimeters. Therefore, the use of such a system in small rooms is undesirable. However, pipes for a warm water floor raise the level of the room even higher, so it is worth choosing between the price and convenience of using the room.

It should be understood that the tile has excellent thermal conductivity. That is why the use of a heated floor of this type can have its own difficulties, as ceramic tiles can get too hot. That's why professional builders are advised to put a special coating on top of the screed, which will equalize the temperature difference. Most often in the role of this coating is used plasterboard or isolone. They distribute heat well, without hindering its spreading in all directions. If a pipe is used for warm floors in the screed, there are no such problems: as a rule, heating systems rarely heat water to a steep boiling water.

When installing heated floors , some important rules should be followed. In particular, you need to properly connect and start the system. So, the screed or glue should be properly dried before it. Experts advise for reliability to wait at least one month. Only then can the heating cable be connected to the mains. In addition, when designing a "water" type floor, you need a professional plumber who can tell you which pipes for the warm floor are the most reliable.
