What happens 40 days after the death of a person

Everyone knows, we are all mortal people and everyone in our time is destined to leave this world. But I want this to happen as late as possible in order to fully enjoy life. And then the question arises: did we come to this world to spend our earthly life in satisfying our desires and passions? And what happens when a person dies, life ends or continues, but in a different form and in another dimension? From time immemorial, these questions interest humanity. What happens after 3, 9, and then 40 days after death, is there an immortal soul and what are its actions after it leaves the mortal body?

Many customs are associated with the behavior of the soul after death. For example, it is customary to remember the deceased not only how 40 days after his death, but also on the third and the ninth day. With what is this connected, is it only folk traditions, or is there an explanation for this? Of course, there are explanations, and they are connected with the history of Christianity. The church explains that after a person dies, the soul leaves the body. In the first two days she gets full freedom and can walk where she wants, visiting those places that are close to her. On the third day, a person is usually buried, and his soul, accompanied by heavenly angels, ascends to worshiping God.

On the way, the soul is not sweet - the way it is constantly blocked by demons, which show the soul of her sins and try to drag her into the underworld. Angels who are near to the soul, try to save it, as opposed to demons, showing the good deeds that the person committed while alive. Thus, they help the soul to go through airy ordeals. The soul is also helped by prayers and good deeds in the name of the deceased on earth by his loved ones, and also by the saints, by whom a man prayed and glorified them while he was alive. After this difficult journey, the soul stands in front of the Lord.

Then, for six days the soul shows all the joys and beauties of paradise. The righteous soul rejoices, and the sinner is sad because she for nothing has spent her earthly life in vain vanity and has not taken care of her heavenly future. She cries and groans, regretting her unworthy earthly life, and grieves, foreseeing that she will not remain in paradise, but she does not want to get into hell. After six days, she again appears before God and then go to examine the hell. That's why 9 days are important. The 40th day after death determines the place where the soul will be before the Second Coming, when the place of stay will be permanently determined for it.

Wishing to render all possible assistance to the soul of the deceased, his relatives arrange 40 days after the death of the wake, where they commemorate him, pray for his soul. By this they help the soul of the deceased to pass all the trials and receive some relief before the Lord. This number of days is not accidental, it is associated with the great dates in the Holy Scripture. For example, Jesus Christ during the same forty days fasted in the wilderness, tempted by demons, remained on earth for 40 days after the resurrection, the Lord with his disciples, stayed 40 days on Mount Moses, before receiving from the Lord the sacred tablets.

From all this it is clear that they remember the dead 40 days after death, not by accident. On this day, requiems are ordered in the church, during which the priests, together with the relatives of the deceased, pray for his soul and ask the Lord to pardon her. This is very important for the soul, as it helps to predetermine its further place in the sky. For the same purpose, the deceased are commemorated on the third and the ninth day, alms are given for them, the poor and the relatives of the deceased person are treated.

Very well, when close people order for a deceased person sorokausty. This is a church commemoration that takes place 40 days after death. They are called upon to alleviate the fate of the soul before it appears before the Lord in a private court and will be given a place before the Second Coming. When the Lord comes into the world a second time, then the Last Judgment will be performed, on which the resurrected from the dead will be determined the place in which they will remain forever. Thus, commemorating the dead these days, people help their deceased relatives, facilitating their souls for the future eternal life.
