Vologda Regional Hospital No.2 (Cherepovets)

The regional hospital №2 (Cherepovets) is the largest medical and preventive institution on the territory of the city, which provides professional medical assistance not only to the residents of Cherepovets, but to all those living in the North-Western region of the Vologda region.

Vologda Regional Hospital No. 2 (Cherepovets) - annually treats about 25 thousand patients, 10 thousand of which are undergoing surgical interventions.

The total capacity of the hospital is designed for simultaneous treatment of almost 800 patients, however, unfortunately, not always this number is enough. At the moment, the hospital is actively developing the so-called "one day surgery", which will significantly relieve the chambers and help more patients.

The regional hospital №2 (Cherepovets) accepts not only residents of Cherepovets and the region, but also patients from Sheksna, Kaduy, Belozersky, Ustyuzhna, Babaevsky and Chagodoshchensky districts located in the northwestern part of the Vologda region.

The regional hospital provides its patients with the following types of services:

2. Outpatient treatment and consultation with specialists.

3. Conduct a diagnosis.

In addition, the 2 regional hospital (Cherepovets) is the only medical institution in the entire northwestern part of the region where patients with oncological diseases are being treated.

History

The regional hospital №2 (Cherepovets) is the oldest hospital in the city, its history began back in the 30th of the last century. The first building, built on the shore of Sheksna, is a surgical complex that was designed for 185 people.

The regional hospital made its invaluable contribution during the war, when a sorting and evacuation complex was deployed in the building. In addition, along the Road of Life, Cherepovets transferred exhausted blockade men from Leningrad, who were helped in the hospital and put on their feet again.

In the postwar period, the active construction of the metallurgical plant began in Cherepovets, the population of the city began to grow. There was a need to build a new hospital complex, which was achieved with great difficulty.

In 2013, the hospital received the status of regional and a new name - the regional hospital number 2 (Cherepovets).

Modernity

Most recently, the hospital celebrated its eighty-five-year anniversary - and this, you will agree, is a significant figure. During this time, much has happened: new buildings have been built, modern equipment has appeared, with which you can treat a variety of diseases.

Only the professionalism of medical personnel, who always try to help the patient and put him on his feet, remains unchanged. The experience of past generations is side by side with the prospects of young specialists who bring new, modern techniques to the treatment process. So, only in one year 2015 the specialists of the regional hospital mastered twenty-five new methods of diagnosing and subsequent treatment of diseases.
