Vitabakt eye drops

"Vitabakt" eye drops are produced in 10 ml polyethylene bottles-droppers, placed in cardboard packs. The solution is clear, slightly yellowish or colorless.

The active substance is picloxydin hydrochloride. Excipients are purified water, dextrose anhydrous, polysorbate 80.

"Vitabakt" eye drops refers to antiseptic ophthalmic medicines for topical application. The drug is prescribed for bacterial infections of the anterior ocular region, dacryocystitis. Vitabakt eye drops are also used in the prevention of infectious complications in the rehabilitation period after surgery in the area of the anterior eye department.

The drug is not prescribed to persons under the age of eighteen. However, in a number of cases, Vitabact eye drops are prescribed by a doctor to children at a young age. The purpose of the medication should be agreed with the attending physician and correspond to the indications. The medicine is also contraindicated for people with increased individual sensitivity to the components of the medication. The administration of the drug is also not recommended in pregnancy and lactation due to the lack of clear information about the effect of the components of the medication on the fetus and the state of the newborn.

When the drug is prescribed for the treatment of bacterial infections, the duration of its use is ten days. If necessary, the attending physician may increase the duration of treatment. In this case, the medicine is instilled one drop into the left and right eye from two to six times a day.

For the prevention of infectious complications during the rehabilitation period after the operations, the medication is also instilled one drop from three to four times a day into each eye. An ophthalmic preparation can also be used during preoperative preparation, and in addition - to prevent complications that may occur after surgery. Before the beginning of the surgical intervention, one or two drops are injected with Vitabakt.

The instruction to the medication does not contain information about overdose and drug interaction with other medicines.

Before using the solution, you should tighten the cap-punch until the end, and pierce the tip of the bottle. The medication is buried in the lower conjunctival ophthalmic sac.
