Varied types of beer

Long ago, those days when our fathers drank only Zhigulevskoe beer were passed. For today on sale it is possible to meet a huge quantity of various grades of this drink. What kind of beer is popular in the world today? To answer this question, you first need to understand a little in the process of producing this drink. Beer for each beer is prepared according to its traditional recipes. After processing the so-called mash, made from dried malt, a transparent, sweetish liquid is extracted from it, which is called wort. It is pumped into huge boilers and processed with cones of hops. The hopped wort is poured into the cooler, and then to the fermentation tank. There, brewer's yeast converts malt sugar into carbon dioxide and alcohol. The excess of the gas released during fermentation is stored in special tanks. Then it is added to the finished beer. The drink is subjected to clarification and maturation. Beer can mature for several weeks and even months. During this period, it is again fermented. The finished product can undergo carbonization (imparts foaminess), clarification (impurities are removed), and sterilization.

Types of beer

One of the most popular beverages of this kind is a low-calorie light beer. Its caloric content is about 100 kcal / 350 ml. In Europe, such kinds of beer as porter, el and stout are very popular. Porter was originally prepared as a mixture of old ale, strong and fresh (not ripe) beer. This drink became so popular that brewers began to brew a special beer, which has a characteristic taste of porter. El is the most popular type in the UK. Initially, this name had a malt drink, for the flavoring of which used spicy herbs (thyme, rosemary). Now this name is appropriated to all golden brown dark varieties of horse fermentation with a high alcohol content. Stout is a hopped beer obtained with top fermentation, with a very dark color, high viscosity and a pronounced aroma of strongly roasted malt. There are 2 types of stout: sweet (with caramel malt and a small addition of hops) and bitter (with lots of hops). In the USA, 90% of this drink represents camp beer. After primary fermentation, it is stored with the addition of fermenting wort at low temperatures. This drink has a well-defined intoxicating aroma. All beer producers produce different kinds and varieties of this drink, which have their own characteristics. In some countries of the world, an indigestible drink is produced from various cereals (corn, millet, wheat, sorghum, rice).
