Urolithiasis or kidney stones

Many people do not know that there are stones or sand in their kidneys. They learn about this at a time when there are severe pain in the kidneys that occur when passing stones on the urinary canal. It's about urolithiasis. Thus, urolithiasis is a disease due to which sand and kidney stones are formed. As a rule, this disease is congenital and represents metabolic disruptions, resulting in the formation of insoluble salts, which eventually turn into phosphate stones in the kidneys, sometimes other types of stones are formed . Sand is formed due to changes in water and salt metabolism and blood composition.

Some factors contribute to the development of the disease:

- hot climate;

- composition of consumed products and water;

- lack of vitamins;

- diseases of the intestines and stomach;

- diseases of the genitourinary system and kidneys;

- sedentary lifestyle;

- hereditary factor;

- deformation of the urinary canal.

It is important to know that kidney stones are of four types:

1.Kaltsievye stones are observed in 70% of sick people.

2. Uranium stones are available in 15% of people.

3. Straw stones are found in 12% of people.

4.Tistin stones are often observed in 2% of people.

It is extremely important to correctly determine the type of stones to exclude their re-education.

It can be noted that a disease such as kidney stones can give different symptoms depending on the location of the stones and their type. Usually the disease has a latent form and is detected accidentally or in the case when the size of the stones coincide with the diameter of the urinary canal, with pain in the lumbar region. If the kidney stones are of average size, a person can experience renal colic, while the color of urine becomes different, different from healthy, sand and stones, and also blood can be observed. Pain sensations in this case can be amplified without special reasons, especially during urination. In humans, the body temperature and blood pressure often increase. With prolonged walking or physical exertion, pain is usually intensified and disturbed until the stone from the urinary canal leaves. It is important to know that in case of finding pus in the urine, it is said that the stones are infected. The obstruction of the urinary tract can lead to anuria, that is, to complete absence of urine output.

With urolithiasis, other violations of the genitourinary system often occur, such as acute pyelonephritis, kidney infection, which may cause the need to remove it, acute cystitis.

If there is a pain in the lumbar region, you should consult a doctor, undergo examination and treatment. To make a diagnosis, urine and blood tests are necessary, ultrasound is also widely used, in which sand and stones are identified, their location in the organs of the genitourinary system, and their degree of damage and changes are determined. Another method of diagnosis is nephroscintigraphy, which allows you to scan the kidneys, as well as urography, which allows you to take pictures of the genitourinary system. Thus, after setting the exact diagnosis, appropriate treatment is prescribed.

Doctors carry out either medication or surgical treatment. Treatment was widely spread without surgical intervention. In this case, kidney stones are excreted by means of diuretics. Also suitable for this purpose are various ointments, oils and warm compresses.

The doctor can offer a medicamentous method of treatment in the inflammatory process in the genitourinary system, while using antibacterial drugs and other modern drugs, the action of which is aimed at removing sand and stones from the urinary canal. During treatment of this disease it is necessary to adhere to a special diet. This disease is not a verdict, it is treated quite successfully.
