Urban Concept - Ecological Auto Audi.

Audi presented its project, which is an example of how in a compact car it is possible to conveniently accommodate two passengers and an environmental engine. It is called the brainchild of "Urban Concept". The roots of the prototypes of this concept can not be found in any model of the firm. The vehicle presented in the sketches is a response to the need for small urban and environmental vehicles. "BMW" already plans to begin mass production of such cars and "Audi", accordingly, can not remain behind its competitor.
The project of the concern is of a grand scale and draws on the experience of the parent concern "Volkswagen", which has pleased motorists with such inventions for several years. In this case, interestingly, Audi is betting on sports tests, both driver and passenger.
On sketches, the concept car looks very attractive and deserves to be rewarded. Aesthetic evaluation of "Urban", has not yet been discussed. Attention is attached to the cockpit, a bit like the nose of the aircraft, and the two-way wheels, which are slightly covered by individual car wings. Such a design until now in urban cars almost never met. On the axes are placed 21-inch disks. The interior of the car can be accessed through the front of the car, which slides to the rear. Inside there are two, asymmetrical chairs. The driver sits a little in front, and the passenger sideways, but pushed slightly to the rear. The body of the car is made of carbon fiber reinforced with a composite (CFRP).

The power structure of the concept was extremely light due to the wide use of composite materials. The weight of Urban is only 480 kilograms, and this is in view of the fact that the car has a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 7.1 kW / h and a pair of motor generators that develop 15 kW (20 hp). A car with one driver can accelerate to 100 km / h in just 16.9 seconds.

The drive concept car serves two, the electric motor. Energy is stored in lithium-ion batteries. Urban's recharging time is not very high. From terminals with a three-phase 400-volt network, the batteries are charged only 20 minutes, from a single-phase household socket with a voltage of 230 V the machine replenishes its stock in just an hour. In addition, Urban is also equipped with wireless charging technology over which Audi engineers have recently started working. Unfortunately, manufacturers have not released any more technical data yet.
