Serial production of a compact crossover began in 2000. Already at the start of sales, it has gained popularity among car enthusiasts around the world. The changes to which Duster was subjected are far from global, but the appearance of the car has become more attractive and modern. According to designers, this will play an important role in increasing sales.

Renovated "Renault Daster" almost does not differ in interior decoration from its predecessor. But for the Russian market the company promises a special, better quality interior trim than the one that will be used for European modifications. Nevertheless, there is a cheap plastic in the cabin, which can not be overlooked. The front panel looks rather poor, and the location of some elements is inconvenient.

But there is plenty of room in the novelty: not only the driver and front passenger will be able to settle in comfort, but also people on the second row of seats. Also it should be noted excellent visibility and good noise insulation of the car.

The average fuel consumption in the combined cycle is 7.6 liters. The all-wheel drive version with the weakest engine is equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission. In this case, acceleration to 100 km / h is carried out for 13.5 s, and the fuel consumption is 8.2 liters.

The second variant of the engine is the 1.5-liter V4, which works with a 6-speed manual transmission. With its help, the SUV accelerates to a hundred for 15.6 seconds. Consumption of fuel for mixed driving is only 5.3 liters. In addition to low fuel consumption, this engine has another important advantage: it is adapted to strong frosts and low-quality gasoline.

And the last (luxury) engine is a 2.0-liter 135-horsepower V4 with distributed fuel injection. The motor is equipped with a 6-speed "mechanics". Acceleration to "hundreds" is carried out in 10.4 seconds, and the flow rate in combined mode is 7.8 liters. The all-wheel drive version with this engine accelerates to 100 km / h in 11.7 seconds, and the fuel consumption is 8.7 liters.

Packages and prices

The updated "Renault Daster" comes in four versions: "Authentique", "Expression", "Privilege" and "Luxe Privilege". The price of the domestic version starts from 492,000 rubles. The cheapest all-wheel drive sedan will cost 558,000 rubles. With the box-machine, the initial cost of the car is 642,000 rubles.
