"The Human Centipede" - reviews about the first and second parts of the film

The film "The Human Centipede", reviews of which did not shine with praise or admiration for the mastery of the director, were never shot at the box office, although everyone is still hearing them. Starving for an unusual movie in the genre of "horror" people at first did not spread too much about what disgust actually caused the film from an adequate audience.

Reviews even the most sophisticated lovers of all the strange and unusual (as, for example, "The Green Elephant") and shout that the film does not carry any artistic value or ideology, and acting is equated with the level of the scenario, which is practically absent. The plot of the film unfolds around the battered theme of the unsuccessful trip of two American tourists to evil Germany to the evil Germans. Of course, at least superficially to learn the German language before the trip, the girls did not bother, because only English people should know all the people in the world. That's why unlucky tourists get into an unpleasant situation, caused by their ignorance of the language and local mentality, as well as the lack of basic survival instincts. However, as practice shows, the development of the plot is simply impossible without the naivety and stupidity of Americans.

Trouble does not come alone, especially when you're from the United States

In fact, it's hard to describe what the film "Human Centipede" is about. Reviews as if hinting at us: about anything. These unlucky tourists eventually got into an accident and decided to go out to look for help, despite the fact that it began to rain heavily. The accident occurred, of course, in the woods, apparently because the entourage of a real horror film can only be created there. Young American women did not for a moment visit the idea of waiting out the rain in the car, they immediately bravely rushed to meet the ephemeral rescue in the thicket of the forest. No wonder that in the forest they discovered a house with a host of a very unpleasant and even repulsive appearance. A bad impression of an unknown man did not stop the girls from taking a glass of water from his hands, then to fall unconscious from the sleeping pill that had been added to the water. The same story can be seen in hundreds of similar paintings, but it's just amazing how far the "Human Centipede" brings it. Reviews about the film most often and concentrate on the intellectual level of the main characters and the complete absence of the plot.

Sick imagination and children's dreams of the surgeon

Nothing good film ends, because a happy ending would contradict the principles of the genre. Strange owner of the house turns out to be a real maniac with unhealthy ideas, which is also a concurrent surgeon and amateur doing experiments on people. In a cozy laboratory of an American man who has survived from the mind of an old German, a Japanese man is waiting for him, who does not know any words, except for curses in his native language. Having gathered the whole company together, the surgeon in broken English tells them that he is going to make of them a fascinating kind of human centipede. The way he was going to do it, will not dream a normal person, even in the worst dream. Sewing the experimental foreigners together, by combining their "backs" with each other's mouths, the rabid surgeon could not find a place for joy when his experiment was crowned with success. At this point, the viewer already understands that viewing the "Human Centipede" could be limited to familiarizing himself with the trailer.

Worse still may be

Despite the cool reception of film critics and critics, soon there was also the "Human Centipede 2". Reviews of the movie did not improve at all, and even the fact that the number of people sewn together has increased significantly. It is said that the second part of the film is even more disgusting than the first, and the plot in it sags even more seriously. Although, it would seem - much worse? But Tom Sixx knows where, and confidently goes in this direction. Moreover, he was so pleased to exploit the unhealthy idea of a common intestine for several people that he started shooting the picture "Human Millipede 3". Comments of film fans who were fortunate enough to get acquainted with the first two parts are already filled with premonitions of something completely abnormal. Many people think that something else is impossible to squeeze out of this topic, but Tom Six just smiles slyly. Who knows, maybe now he will sew a small town to each other, and the inadequate protagonist will become a local mayor.

Corners of insanity and rejection of the masses

The picture of Tom Siks is unlikely to be shown in a movie, and the sale of licensed discs is somehow very slow. Perhaps that's why the offended director decided to take revenge on the world, giving him a few more pieces of the centipede? Released in 2011, "The Human Millipede 2", reviews of which were even worse than the first, shocked the imagination of modern film enthusiasts, but not in a revolutionary sense. Tom Sixx did not bring anything new to the cinema, if only because his original idea at first glance was drowned in not the most high-quality scenery and completely obscene actors. Some moviegoers joke that the actors are shot in the director's films exclusively for food, and many seriously believe that they are being blackmailed by Six. Fans of eccentric roles in Hollywood are full, but hardly any of them would have thought of even just reading the script "Millipedes", not to mention the direct participation in filming a dubious picture. So, the film "The Human Millipede 2" (the reviews of which are very, very unflattering) was originally doomed to failure.

Colorful, but crazy villains

Be that as it may, the negative characters of Tom Siks are very colorful. Their acting does not, of course, pull the picture to a whole new level, but at least it does not force the viewer to just thinklessly spit on the film. For example, the villain from the first part justified his act and the desire to connect people in a strange way with his love for the dead dog. The actor's game turned out to be very charismatic, but, probably, that's why he does not want to see more in any film. The main villain, who appears in the second part, suffers from an obvious mental disorder, and is also a whole walking warehouse of inferiority complexes. Both characters are quite interesting, but the script of the picture still does not allow them to properly reveal themselves. At the viewer villains cause disgust or even a desire to escape far away, and this is the best proof of the level of acting.

Contingent and target audience

It is difficult to say for whom the film "The Human Centipede" was still filmed. Critics' comments tell us that the film was adopted equally badly almost everywhere, absolutely not paid off at the box office. Fans of all the most unusual and not quite healthy can find the very idea of the picture quite interesting, but in order to understand it, you do not have to watch the whole movie. "The human centipede" causes disgust, nausea and reluctance to watch the paintings of this genre, and after viewing this picture the franchise "Saw" seems kind and fluffy.
