Sinoflane ointment

Sinoflane ointment is usually white or light yellow in color and the main active substance in it is fluocinolone acetonide. As auxiliary substances in this preparation are used hydrinol D, Vaseline, methylparaben, citric acid, propylene glycol, macrogol, propylparaben, cetostearyl ether and purified water. This drug refers to the corticosteroid group of drugs.

Some people mistakenly call sinaflane ointment sineflane, but in any case, before using it, it is necessary to study the attached instruction in detail, since it is prescribed not only for adults, but also for children.

Sinoflane ointment: use of the drug

This remedy is used for the treatment of skin itch, red flat lichen, seborrheic dermatitis, psoriasis, neurodermatitis, allergic skin diseases, discoid lupus erythematosus, eczema, 1st degree burns, and sunburn and insect bites.

Sinoflana ointment has anti-allergic, glucocorticoid, antipruritic and anti-inflammatory action and is used only as an external agent.

Method of administration and recommended doses of the drug

From the tube, a small amount of ointment is squeezed out and, with the help of rotational massaging movements of hands, it is rubbed into the diseased parts of the skin 3 times a day. For a greater effect, often after the sino-flan ointment is applied, the sore spot is covered with an occlusive dressing, which is additionally applied to the product. So it can be left for 3-4 days. It is not recommended to apply a large amount of medicinal product to the bandage, it should not exceed 2 grams per day. It is best to apply this ointment in the presence of dry forms of dermatoses.

Sinoflane ointment is intended for use for a short period of time. It should not be applied to too large areas of the skin. During treatment with this drug is recommended wearing loose clothing.

Possible side effects when applying sino-flan ointment:

- the appearance of burning, itching, steroid acne, stria, dry skin, folliculitis ;

- If you apply this drug for a fairly long period of time, then there may be skin atrophy, local hirsutism, telangiectasia, purpura, pigmentation disorders, hypertrichosis, frontal alopecia, which is especially common in women;

- In cases of application of a large amount of ointment to significant surfaces of the skin, systemic manifestations such as "steroid" gastric ulcer, slowing of reparative processes, gastritis, Itenko-Cushing syndrome, adrenal insufficiency may appear;

- Secondary immunodeficiency can also appear, which is characterized by exacerbation of chronic infectious diseases, generalization of the infectious process, development of opportunistic infections.

Contraindications to the use of sino-flan ointment

Do not use this product in the presence of cutaneous manifestations of syphilis, hypersensitivity, skin tuberculosis, diaper rash, rosacea, acne, extensive psoriatic plaques, itch of the anus and genitals. It is also contraindicated to use this ointment when

- Primary skin infections caused by bacteria, viruses or fungi,

- trophic ulcers of the legs, which appeared due to varicose veins,

- skin tumors,

- pregnancy, lactation,

- as well as children under 2 years old,

- in the presence of ulcerative lesions and wounds in the places of application of the ointment.

Especially cautiously it is necessary to apply this preparation to girls during their puberty. If this product is applied to children, you can not cover large areas of skin, as this can cause the child to slow growth.
