The drug "Regidron" is a white powder. In its composition in a certain ratio there are:

- potassium chloride ;

- sodium chloride ;

- sodium citrate ;

- glucose (anhydrous dextrose);

- citrate (citric acid, devoid of three hydrogen ions).

The content of citrate is determined by the salt-acid taste of the drug, and glucose gives it a sweetish flavor.

As a preventive agent, the solution is prescribed for increased physical (enhanced training of athletes) and thermal loads (work in the hot shop), causing increased sweating, which can lead to acidosis (violation of acid-base balance).

The powder "Regidron" contains a smaller amount of sodium chlorine than similar preparations, therefore it does not promote over-saturation of the body with salt. At the same time, the amount of potassium contained in the medicine is favorable for the rapid restoration of this vitally important element in the blood supply, which ensures the effective functioning of the heart muscle.

The powder is diluted in boiled water at room temperature, in the ratio: one packet of a substance per 1 liter of water. You can use purified bottled water, but in no case mineral.

When vomiting and diarrhea, the patient is given a warm solution in small portions (on the pharynx) and very often. The finished solution should be used within a day completely. If it is necessary to continue taking the drug, a fresh fresh solution of the "Regidron" powder is prepared for the next day.
