To date, all sorts of weight loss programs are a commodity quite in demand. Many of them are sharply criticized, others are quite favorably received. Why does it depend? Remember, at least the diet of Dr. Atkins or "Kremlin". Doctors of a dietitian unanimously repeat to us how much they are harmful and dangerous for our body. But when I was interested in Dr. Mirkin's diet, I only got a few negative reviews. Quite possibly, it's just not so popular, and therefore stayed away from criticism. Whatever it was, let's try to analyze this "diet" product on our own. Especially for this purpose I purchased the book "Accelerated Course of Weight Loss". Its author, the psychotherapist V. Mirkin assures that by following his diet plan you will steadily reduce weight until you get the desired harmony.

Attention! The most basic: the Mirkin diet is designed for long-term use. Now you will understand why I focused your attention on this very moment.

Let's see how the diet menu looks like for one day.

For breakfast it is suggested to drink a glass of coffee with milk and eat a pack of low-fat cottage cheese.

You can dine with borsch without meat and potatoes, a piece of chicken (100 g) with cabbage salad (150 g) and a slice of bread (30 g). Plus to this glass of tomato juice.

For a mid-morning snack we drink a glass of milk with a fat content of 1.5%.

Dinner consists of two sausages, 100 g of green peas, a glass of kefir.

As you can see, carbohydrates in this diet contain a minimum amount. Let me remind you, it is from them that our body produces glycogen - the main food for muscles. With a lack of carbohydrates, weakness, drowsiness, fatigue and a constant headache are guaranteed to you. Ready for such a victim within a year or two? Then welcome to the ranks of admirers of "idol of fat women" Dr. Mirkin.

In fact, Dr. Mirkin's diet differs little from the "Kremlevka" or the Atkins diet. In addition to the fact that it is low-carbohydrate, the caloric content of the diet given in the book is not sufficient for normal comfortable weight loss. Perhaps for his patients, Vladimir Ivanovich develops personal menus, but 1200 kcal for a person weighing more than 80 kg is clearly not enough. Let's recollect a rule of calculation of necessary caloric content. The diet of a balanced diet should ensure the daily need of the body to maintain vital functions. Otherwise, it will go into an energy-saving regime and instead of burning fats, they will begin to accumulate.

In my opinion, Dr. Mirkin's diet is just another bloated myth. Judge for yourself, can a person position themselves as a competent nutritionist not to know the elementary things? For example, that it is better to lose weight gradually, rather than externally. After a rapid decrease in body weight, especially for middle-aged and elderly people, it is dangerous that it can cause aggravation of many diseases. Agree, among people with obesity, for which actually developed the diet of Mirkin, hardly a lot of absolutely healthy.

Let us now turn to the list of banned and allowed products.

Mirkin's diet prohibits canned foods high in fat. This item does not cause any complaints. We all know that the liver of cod or sprats in oil is not the most dietary product. Sour cream, sweet curds, cream, cheese with a high percentage of fat, a person who decided to lose weight, too, to nothing.
Sugar, candy, chocolate cookies and halva are also prohibited. Perfectly. Without them, you can do without the rest of your life. But as the ancients used to say, you reject it-offer it. There are also sweets from the category of useful. Dried apricots, prunes, figs, dates, honey, marmalade. Nobody says that they can be absorbed by kilograms, but a small amount of sweet will avoid depressions and food disruptions.

Pasta, cereals and bread fell into the category of banned for one single reason - they have too many carbohydrates. Judge for yourself, what do you think is more useful - buckwheat or a piece of sausage?

Of course, the Mirkin diet reviews have not only positive, but also negative. All the same, we did not consider it a harmful "non-carbohydrate" in it alone. Although there is one indisputable plus in it. If you want to lose a couple - three kilograms, you do not have to cook separately. The diet contains a daily set of products, which is included in the menu of each family. Feel free to add the amount of calories you need due to garnish, vegetables and fruits and lose weight with pleasure.
