Levon Hayrapetyan: biography and interesting facts from life

In his homeland (in Nagorno-Karabakh) a public figure, entrepreneur, journalist and philosopher Levon Hayrapetyan was almost a national hero. Law enforcement authorities suspected the Armenian businessman of embezzling a large amount of money from the mother of the deputy of Bashkortostan Igor Izmestyev.

Hayrapetyan Levon Gurgenovich is a native of the village of Vank (Martakertovsky district, Nagorno-Karabakh). He was born in 1949. After receiving secondary education, young Levon went to Moscow to enter the university. The choice of a young man fell on the philosophical faculty of Moscow State University. Having successfully passed the entrance exams, Levon Hayrapetyan joined the ranks of students. In those years, he traveled a lot around the country as an activist of the Komsomol organization. And, headed by the construction team, the young man argued that he was not deprived of an entrepreneurial vein. He easily established business ties with local cooperatives.

It is rumored that Hayrapetyan started to engage in major business projects, and not without the assistance of influential representatives of the criminal world.

Levon Hayrapetyan became a co-founder of the social services fund, having mastered the colossal amount of budgetary funds. He also on an equal footing opened a billiard club for VIP-clients. In addition, Levon helped create the first GM dealer in our country, received dividends from the activities of Uniastrum Bank as a shareholder. In parallel, he was engaged in the oil business. Naturally, in this field of activity he was able to put together a huge financial condition and enter the top-10 wealthiest entrepreneurs of Armenian origin. Soon Levon Gurgenovich changed his apartment to apartments in the President Hotel.

Criminal case

In 2014, Levon Girgenovich Airapetyan, whose family lives in the US, became a criminal in the criminal case. Russian detectives accused him of misappropriating other people's money, and then illegally laundered them. The corresponding testimony was given by the former deputy of the Republic of Bashkortostan Igor Izmestyev, who is serving a life sentence in one of the colonies.

A former servant of the people said that Hayrapetyan received a financial reward for intermediary services in the transaction on the alienation of AFK Sistema. Levon Gurgenovich, according to investigators, using a fraudulent scheme, sold shares of Bashneft. In addition, he took money from the mother of Izmestiyeva in the amount of 700 thousand dollars, promising her that with the help of finance she could achieve a softening of the sentence to the former deputy of Bashkiria, but could not restrain her words.

Punishment

In the summer of 2014, Hayrapetyan Levon Gurgenovich was detained. The arrest of the businessman occurred in the capital's Domodedovo airport. The accused in the criminal case flew to Russia from Nice.

Representatives of the law enforcement agency met Hayrapetyan directly at the gangplank of the plane and told him about the arrest. Then Levon Gurgenovich was interrogated by the investigator, and in the "President-Hotel", which was rented by the businessman, a search was made.

Only in January 2016 Zamoskvoretsky court of the capital began to consider the case on the merits. Everyone accused denied involvement in the commission of crimes, but his guilt was proven. In April 2016, Hayrapetyan received a verdict - 4 years imprisonment. The businessman was escorted to Butyrskaya prison. In his cell, his health deteriorated sharply, and Levon Gurgenovich was sent to the medical unit of the penitentiary. In the summer of 2016, lawyers of Levon Georgievich appealed against the verdict against their principal, but as a result, he remained in force.
