At the very beginning of the creation of the game, developers hinted that the system requirements of Crysis 3 will be put on the lap of any PC. It's been several years now, and maximum settings for the quality of the game are still not subject to every computer.

Starting to describe any game with its graphics capabilities is wrong. But the game Crysis 3 - a special case. It is the most powerful graphics release on the release day that gamers have always discussed in the first place. And I must say that not for nothing. Weapons, peace, effects, heroes - everything is done very nicely and as thoroughly as possible. Gusts of winds dangle the thick grass, light waves break out along the surface of the water, rays of light, breaking through the crown of trees, creating an interlacing of shadows on the ground, the trunk of the machine is decorated with dozens of highlights and reflections, and the main characters seem alive. Having made the most advanced engine at the time of the game, the designers created an amazingly beautiful science-fiction world. From time to time you can forget about the battles and just admire them, resenting that the enemies do not allow to do this for too long.

Payment for the standard

It is logical that the visual component is expensive to pay - the system requirements of Crysis 3 are impressive, even given the fact that the game came out long enough by the standards of the gaming community. On ultrasnability, the picture eats up all the resources and asks for more. On video cards that do not support DX11, Crysis 3 does not start. And all because even at the lowest settings of quality, the game produces a picture that can plug most modern virtual entertainment into the belt.

Disadvantages or nitpicking?

Of course, with a strong desire, you can find in Crisys 3 and many shortcomings. Dying, enemies sometimes take such unnatural poses, which even the motherly yogi will be surprised at. Theoretically, the requirements in practice

As it is written above, for a comfortable game in Crysis 3 you will need a computer in which there will be installed four gigabytes of RAM and a video card equipped with at least two gigabytes of video memory. The product of the company Crytech presented the highest requirements for a graphics accelerator. The maximum quality settings, even on top models of video cards, could not give an acceptable level of FPS (frames per second) at a resolution equal to 1920 x 1080.

The main factor that more than others reduces the performance of the video subsystem is the multiple sampling of anti-aliasing (in the game settings it is called MSAA). After its activation, FPS on any video card drops at least twice. It turns out that the system requirements of Crysis 3 can not be satisfied with any modern graphics accelerator. Of course, if you turn on the FXAA lighting mode, the resource consumption of the game will decrease, but the quality of the picture will also "ask".

I must say that the graphics cards of the middle price range could not cope with the ultra-adjustments even when MSAA was disconnected. With a resolution of 1920 x 1080, comfortable FPS was observed only in the most senior models, but at the same time overclocked ones. The resolution of 2560 x 1600 is absolutely unattainable.

You can decide that the high load on the video system does not affect the choice of the CPU. But devices with different number of cores in different ways influenced the performance of the game. The developers of the engine added a lot of optimizations for multiprocessor systems, so it can be considered logical that the number of cores is proportional to the number of FPS on the screen. To summarize, we can say that even if you downloaded Crysis 3 for free, you still have to put a lot of banknotes to upgrade your computer to enjoy all the beauties.

PC against consoles

As you know, three versions of Crysis 3 were released - for PCs, XBOX and PS3. For the owners of the last two, the issue of system requirements disappears by itself. However, if we compare the quality of graphics, it must be said that here the PC gains an unconditional victory. Even the minimal settings outperform the game console for the quality of the game. And this is logic. Publishing Crysis for consoles, the developers were strictly limited by their technical characteristics.
