How is the front wheel bearing replaced?

To begin with, we need to take a jack and unscrew the front wheels. They should be placed under the lower lever. With the help of pliers, remove the pin pin of the pin, and then the finger itself. Then, using a balonnik, we press the brake pistons so that they go into the caliper. Now we remove the pads. We unscrew the fixing bolts of the lower and upper calipers and take the parts aside. Further we put a brake hose on steering drafts. It is important to remember that the first part should be in a weakened state. Never get down to work if the brake hose is tight.

Further, replacing the front hub bearing is accompanied by the dismantling of the hub cap. If necessary, you can apply a chisel, but the blows should not be strong. Then unscrew the bolt with the spanner key . Take into account the fact that the right wheel always has a left thread, and on the left one - the right one. Now remove the hub. Under it we lay some flat surface. Then take the mount and knock out the stuffing box. The inner bearing can be removed with a hammer handle. Now we dismantle the clips with the same chisel. After this, the replacement of the VAZ wheel bearing is accompanied by the cleaning of the hub and trunnion. To do this, take a rag with gasoline and carefully handle their surface.

The next stage will be the installation of new hub parts. First of all we take the clips and hammer them into the bearing. We lubricate the internal part with the help of the "Lithol". Now install the stuffing box. Inside the hub, too, we put the "Litol" and put a pin on it. Then lubricate the outer bearing and install it in place. Next, mount the washer and bolt. The last element is clamped tightly, until it stops. Thanks to this, the hub will fit well into its place. Now put the support and collect all the other parts in the reverse order. We put on the wheel and screw it on the bolts.

Before you lower the car from the jack, rotate the tire in a circle, while releasing the hub nut and adjust the latter until the play appears on the drive. Now tighten the nut so that the wheel does not stagger. After that, we put on the hub cap and start the operation of the car. It is desirable to make another such adjustment after 500 km. At this stage, we can assume that the replacement of the front hub bearings is completed.
