Repair multivarok yourself. What to do if the multivark has broken down

Multivarkas quickly gained popularity and became masters' assistants, greatly facilitating their daily tasks. This or that model of this device harmoniously complemented the interior of almost every kitchen. Unfortunately, like any other technique, a multivariate is subject to various kinds of breakdowns. What if this trouble happened? Can I solve the problem myself or do I need to go to a service center? The reader will find the answers to these questions in this article.

It is necessary to operate the device correctly

In order not to have to repair the multivarieties with your own hands, it is necessary to take care of the correct use of this useful household appliance.

Mainly it concerns the sequence of placing in the multivark products. First you need to put them in a removable bowl, and only then this capacity can be installed in the device.

Whether it's a Scarlett device or a Polaris multivarker, it may be necessary to repair it yourself if you put food directly inside without taking out the bowls:

  1. If, according to the recipe of a dish, it is necessary to add milk or other liquid substance, there is a high probability that it will fall on the electronics due to the inaccuracy of the cook.
  2. Sooner or later you can forget to insert a removable cup into the device and pour something directly into the multivark. Thus, the device is waiting for an imminent breakdown.

"Redmond" multiwares: self-service

Take the device to service or repair the Redmond multivarke with your own hands?

Not being an expert, to take care of household appliances is only if the warranty repair has already passed and there is nothing to lose. But in this case, you can, of course, include the device in the repair and pay the professional for the work.

If you still have to act on your own, then you need to analyze what kind of problem happened to the multivar. And they happen such:

  • The display shows an error labeled "E1", "E2", "E3".
  • Chips, resistors or capacitors can go out of order.
  • A thermistor could fail.
  • The power supply can burn.
  • The heating element often burns.
  • The cover latch can break.

In order to repair the Redmond multivarkers with your own hands, you need to understand which of the problems with it happened.

How to get to the board

In order to repair the multivarks with your own hands, you first need to figure out how to get to the board in each case.

To do this, unscrew three or four screws that are located on the bottom cover.

Then the plume (a set of fine wires) that connects the card to the power supply unit is disconnected.

After that, disconnect the heating element, which is fixed with three or four screws and a pressure plate. With special attention, it is necessary to disconnect the built-in thermocouple (thermometer) located in the center of the device. This element is fragile, it is easy to damage.

The next step, which involves repairing the multivariate with your own hands - is testing the fuses. For this, a device called an ohmmeter is used.

Before cleaning the control and power supply boards, they must be carefully disconnected, otherwise it will not be possible to clean them on both sides.

Cleaning the board

If the Polaris multivarker is broken, repair by one's own hands requires caution: the internal parts and trains are made very thin, they can be accidentally damaged when disassembling the device.

So, the fee is charged. To clean it, you need to pick up a brush with a soft bristle, similar to a cosmetic brush for the face. Inspect the board for grease stains. If they are, wrap cotton wool on a toothpick, moisten it with alcohol and gently wipe the contaminated area, trying not to exert excessive pressure on the board.

Approach the process with caution and responsibility, otherwise repairing the multivariate can end up badly. Change the cotton wool after each smear, otherwise you will simply smear the fat by the microcircuits and capacitors.

Diagnosis of the board

In a typical multivark, such as "Scarlett" or "Maxwell", there are two electronic cards. One of them is power, the second is the control board.

Suppose you need to repair the multicomputer "Scarlet". With your hands, you can almost completely disassemble the device and take out the inner part, made in the form of a cylinder. The power board is located next to the bottom, and the control board you will find when you take out the cylindrical part of the multivark.

Carefully consider the chips. It is necessary to search for signs of carbon deposits, disturbances of tracks, soldered joints, detachment of tracks. Condensers should not be swollen, and resistors - blackened.

Repair of the board

The repair of the Philips multivark also involves the replacement of burnt parts on the boards, if any. They are shot in the same way as on other multivarquks.

Damaged parts are soldered and replaced with similar ones, the markings of the parts must match.

If the tracks between the parts of the circuit are damaged, they must be cleaned with a zero abrasive cloth and recoiled. In some cases, you can solder the jumpers from a thin wire. After these works the path must be covered with a layer of varnish. This will protect the board from moisture if it again gets inside.

Where to find and how to replace the thermal fuse

Several thermal fuses are always located in the middle of the multivariate, no matter what firm it is.
They are behind the kembrists, which close the train. In each multivark cambric are located in sight. In some models, they can be assembled into a yoke, but they are not fixed in any way.

If the "Philips" multivark is being repaired, you can unscrew the bottom of the device with your own hands and detect fuses.

Under the saucepan is a knot, similar to a massive metallic mushroom, backed up by a spring. If you disassemble the multivark, then around this mushroom you will find fuses.

Thermal fuses need to be attached only by means of clamps. To solder them for obvious reasons is impossible.

How to determine which of the elements is defective

It's time to test the thermal fuses to find out if you need to change one of them. It also happens that you need to change all these elements. Check the condition of the part by a tester.

Repairs by the hands of the multivariate Polaris in this respect is quite simple. After all, thermal fuses do not even have to be removed in order to test.

The next sensor is located in the lid, but to open it without the confidence that the cause of the breakdown of the multivarket lies exactly there, it is undesirable. The sensor can be checked by measuring the resistance in its wiring and simultaneously raising the temperature of the cover.

If no changes occur in this case, then the sensor has really failed, and it should be replaced. Then already it is necessary to untwist a cover, only it is necessary to do it very cautiously, that anything inside not to damage.

Problem in the power supply

If the device does not show signs of life at all, the indicators do not glow, the problem is with the power supply. Remove the bottom cover of the device and measure the output voltage.

With such a breakdown, it is easiest to repair the Vitek multivarkers with your own hands. The power supply on it is removed quite easily and it is not difficult to find the right one for the replacement.

Problem latches of the top cover

Repairs of the multimark Redmond with their own hands are often associated not with problems in electronics, but with a break in the latch of the lid of the device. It is the weak point of the apparatus of this model. Those who have a house in the kitchen is an assembly of this particular company, you can advise closing the lid with the latch pressed in, and release it only after the lid is closed.

If everything has already happened - the detail is broken, then there is nothing terrible in this, everything is fixable. Of course, cooking in a multivark with such a breakdown is much more complicated, so it is better to repair it right away, especially since every adult can do it.

Warranty repair hardly applies to such breakdowns, and for money, few will undertake to solve such a problem. A lot of it does not work, but nobody wants to break his head.

How to repair the latch

Service centers with the same problem are often brought to repair the multivarka "Maxwell". With their hands to repair household appliances, few people decide, but there is nothing to worry about.

To repair the latch, you need to prepare an epoxy resin, a needle and a screw, the length of which is 10 to 15 mm.

This part is initially held in the body of the device using two small axes made of plastic. These axes can not always withstand the pressure exerted on them, sooner or later they break down. The debris remains inside the holes in which the axes rotated. The first thing to do is take them out.

On the hotplate of the gas stove, heat the needle red, holding it with pliers or pliers. In this condition, it will easily enter the body of the plastic debris. Leave it there for a short time, and when the needle cools down, you can pull it out with the wreckage of the shaft.

In the latch you need to drill a hole with a thin drill. Drilling is necessary where the "axles" grew earlier. The diameter of the drill must be less than that of the prepared screw.

When drilling, try not to break the stiffener that is inside the latch. Drill only the outer wall.

Screw the screw into the resulting hole, trying to make it so that it is oriented with respect to the latch at an angle of 90 degrees, otherwise you will get a downed axis.

Unscrew the screw, dip it into epoxy resin, and screw it back. Allow the resin to freeze and place the latch on its proper place. Screw will take on the role of a broken axis, and the multivarker will last a long time.
