Ray Bradbury - Writer Goes Out, Books Remain

On the question: "Have you read Ray Bradbury?" Anyone will answer in the affirmative. Both an adult and a child. After all, love, as they say, all ages are submissive, and there is plenty of love in Bradbury's stories. His works are filled with amazing forebodings and intuition, which, combined with a juicy, accurate language, work wonders. Even unwilling, the reader becomes a participant in unimaginable events - an expedition to Mars, wanderings through space, a magical summer vacation for the boy Douglas.

Even during his lifetime, Bradbury became a classic. Muza began to visit the writer early-at the age of 12 he wrote his first work. As the author later recalled, "At that time I was trying to imitate Edgar Poe." His first stories young Ray wrote in a refined Victorian style. While Henry Kuttner, who was one of the first readers of the young man, did not advise him to "find himself."

"It took me about 10 years to write the first contented story," said Bradbury. All these years the writer "ripened", was determined to write and read a lot. In 1941 he first published his story. From this time his prose conceived popularity among readers of cheap science fiction magazines.

In 1947 the first collection of stories "The Dark Carnival" was published, and in 1950 the famous "Martian Chronicles". World glory to the matured Douglas from Illinois brought the story "451 degrees Fahrenheit", first published in the pages of "Playboy", and later, in 1967, screened by the talented director François Truffaut.

Having several awards for achievements in the field of fantastic prose, Bradbury, however, did not consider himself a science fiction writer. And it's true, only a part of his work can be called a fantasy. The rest can be described in the words of critics: "This is Ray Bradbury. It does not fit into any framework. " Fairy tales, parables, stories about another reality - all these definitions at the same time fit and do not approach his stories, causing in the heart of love and a sense of eternal youth. Perhaps, Ray Douglas Bradbury himself could best imagine his works.

"I pretend that I'm busy with something ordinary, but it's worth it for a second to distract yourself - and in an instant, two dozen bright silk handkerchiefs appear from my bottomless hat."

The whole life and creative path of the writer can be called the title of one of his stories - "Driving blindly." Every day for 70 years he lived an inspiration, freeing his intuition and powerful imagination. This is what allowed him to be in fine writing form until the end of his days.

August 22 Bradbury would have turned 92 years old. On books published before June 2012, under the photograph of the writer is the signature: "p.1920", which involuntarily confirms the idea that Ray Bradbury did not die. He will always live in his stories.
