Raspberry Tibetan: description, care, reproduction
Tibetan (strawberry) raspberry is a species of plants belonging to the family of Rosaceae. The Latin name sounds like Rubus illecebrosus. Many people mistakenly mistook it for a hybrid, obtained from crossing with blackberries or strawberries. In fact, this is a type of raspberry.
Bright red berries in size are comparable to the average strawberry, and in form resemble a blackberry. Tibetan raspberry blooms, as a rule, in July, fruit begins in August. Flowering and fruiting last until freezing. In the taste of berries raspberry, strawberry and pineapple notes are felt, but by sweetness it is inferior to the usual relative. It is not necessary to expect a big harvest from it, but the ornamentality of bushes with fruits rising above the leaves is very high.
Raspberry Tibetan is not capricious, it grows well on any soils. Places prefer sunny. It is desirable to immediately dig in the fence, since the root system tends to creep along the site. Special care and the formation of shrubs
The raspberry Tibetan fructifies on the shoots of the current year. Reddened berries need to be given a couple of days before collection to increase in size and improve taste. In regions with cold winters, the entire overground part is preferably cut off. The root system should be insulated, since its frost resistance is low. The next year, new shoots will grow from the buds of renewal on the rhizome.
Propagates raspberry Tibetan root offspring or the division of bushes. In the first version, the procedure is carried out in the spring after reaching 10 cm sprouts. They are excavated with part of the rhizome and transferred to a new location. At first they will need regular watering. Bushes are divided in autumn, after planting the stems are almost completely cut off, abundantly watered.
It should be noted that the use of berries does not cause allergic reactions, they can be used even for children suffering from diathesis. Interestingly, in China, these fruits are considered a vegetable. They are used in salads and seasonings.
Tibetan raspberries are not very common today on private plots. It should be planted at least in order to have something to surprise their guests and to please the family with original and useful berries.
