This is due to the fact that today the political situation in the world makes one perceive Russia as a single whole, something powerful, strong and confident. Synonyms for the word "homeland" in proverbs

Proverbs about the homeland can contain synonyms of the given concept. For example, "in your house and the walls help." The homeland here is replaced by the word "house" in order to denote the place of birth, that is the closest corner on the planet to a person.

"For our Fatherland all of humanity" - in this proverb the concept of "homeland" is synonymous with "Fatherland", therefore they can be used interchangeably. In this particular case, the proverb should have been present rhyme on the Russian folk tradition of oral creativity. This is the reason for using the term "Fatherland".
