Beer is the national drink of Czechs. They are proud of this, cherish and keep the tradition of brewing. Traditionally, Czech beer is popular with our fellow citizens, which, in fact, is not surprising, because beer tourism blossoms in full growth, as they say. We want to share with you our visits about beer places in Prague and the Czech Republic. I would like to note that all descriptions are from the first person, i.e. Your humble servant, personally visited all the places mentioned, and personally everywhere he took a bite and took a sip. In a word, I'll be your guide. I really hope that my impressions will be useful for you, and when you are going to the Czech Republic, you will already know that it is worth to visit and get the maximum pleasure from food and a noble drink - beer. Let's start our beer tour, traditionally, from Prague. So, suppose you have already been on a tour with a group, or an individual walk through Prague with a good guide, are very hungry, and closing your eyes, you see a sweaty mug of cold amber beer and a huge plate with a smoking smoked knee))

Potrefena Husa is a restaurant chain owned by the Staropramen brewery. To vskidku, these institutions in Prague, at least ten. In all establishments of this network, you can not doubt that they will feed you exceptionally delicious, waiters will be polite, and such a thing as cheating a client, there simply does not exist. The most basic restaurant of this chain is located directly at the plant Staropramen, in the Prague district Smichov or Prague 5, and is called Potrefena Husa - Na Verandach. Other establishments of this network can be found directly from the Prague "Dancing House" in the Prague 2 area, further on Platnerska Street, Prague 1, which is between the Old Town Square and the Charles Bridge, Hybernska Street, near the Powder Gate on Shiroka Street, and Main railway station. The signature Pilsner Urquell restaurant is located on Bilkova Street, the very center of the city, right outside the Intercontinental Hotel. You, dear reader, probably guessed at once, by name, it is in this institution poured beer brand "Pilsen Holidays" , Which can not be confused with other brands because of the specifics and unique "bitterness." The restaurant "Brewery House" was opened, if memory does not change, in 1997 at the corner of Prague streets Ečna and Lipova, which is in the Prague area 2. This institution has its own brewery, which brews beer only to cover the restaurant's need. For several years, the institution literally survived, because there was not enough occupancy by visitors. Even the red-haired "sladek" himself, that is, the brewing technologist, himself met customers at the entrance, told them about the process of beer production ... The situation changed after 2000, when Pivdom (as some amateurs call him) began in large numbers To visit tourists from the countries of the former USSR. The institution offers many exotic beers - nettle, cherry, kiwi, beer champagne, however, all this is ... the main "chip" of the brewery is unfiltered light and black beer. Czech cuisine, too, is "ground" for beer - everything is delicious, and large portions of meat, dumplings and stewed cabbage.

The restaurant "U Fluke" - is considered the oldest Prague brewer. The institution, frankly tourist. Prices are somewhat high. Nevertheless, we advise you to try them with cooked black beer of the highest quality. The stomach and huge portions of tasty Czech food will please. The restaurant is also famous for the fact that it was here, among several Croatian promising students, who were brought to Prague, to the restaurant "U Fluke", an idea to found a football club. And it became the most popular now Croatian FC Hajduk from the city of Split. A special commemorative plaque has been posted about this event in the restaurant.

Novomestsky brewery - the very name speaks for itself. Brewery of the New City. The city itself, albeit "new," but was founded by the order of King Charles IV in the fourteenth century. The brewery, of course, appeared on this site much later. It seems that the beer there is delicious, and the food is also ... However, once, the author of these lines, tried at that place brazenly cheated. It was a long time ago, almost 10 years ago, but the sediment remained, and more, in this place, I'm not a walker. To visit the Novomarsky brewery, or not - it's purely your business.

U Ferdinanda - a popular pub, which is located between Wenceslas Square and the Main Railway Station. Ferdinand beer brand is the production of the brewery of Benesov, which is 50 km from Prague, and its name, it received in honor of Franz-Ferdinand D'Este, who was the last owner of the castle of Konopiste, and heir to the throne of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy. However, the Emperor was not destined to become him, since in 1914, he was shot by the Serbian nationalist Gavrilo Princip in the Bosnian city of Sarajevo. This murder was the reason for the outbreak of the First World War. Time goes by, wars pass, and beer remains.

Of the listed Prague beer places, only Potrefena Husa is a place where local residents, not tourists, go with great pleasure. This speaks volumes.
