Plywood flooring

Floors are the most functional part of any house. They are presented with many requirements: they must be beautiful, wear-resistant, warm and also easy to clean.

Wooden floors are laid from planed boards, and this kind refers to a coating of piece materials. As a rule, boards can be no longer than six meters in length and ten, fifteen or twenty centimeters wide.

Previously, flooring was made of boards up to eighty millimeters thick, then they began to use thinner ones - 40-50 mm. Recently, thanks to new technologies (warm floors), the permissible thickness of the board is 26-32 mm.

Flooring is made on logs, which are laid on the supporting elements of the wall, using a lining of elastic sound-proof materials to reduce the impact sound. The boards are nailed to the logs. If the floors are spread over the ground, then the ground must be prepared very carefully first. It is good to level it, make a sandy pouring and concrete screed, then install the logs at a distance of 60-80 cm. This can be a wooden beam or boards, knocked down two and mounted on a rib. They must be perfectly even, otherwise they can not be aligned in a plane.

Bars or knocked boards are exposed at a distance of 60-80 cm and aligned with Using pads that are made of solid plywood, trimmed boards or other durable materials. After leveling, the lugs are fixed.

The flooring of wooden floors is best made of boards with grooves and ridges. They give the floor extra strength. They are collected several times with the help of locks and compressed with special clamps. In this form, they can be nailed to lags. Flooring floors can be considered qualitative, if there are no failures and other irregularities. The same method is used for flooring from plywood, fiberboard, chipboard.

Several methods of flooring of wooden floors are used. The simplest drawing, which does not require much experience and skill, is considered parallel styling. When laying the board diagonally requires much more experience. New wooden floors must be covered with a protective layer. They can become varnishes, mastics, etc. The most reliable and durable coating is provided by varnish. Before applying its first layer, the varnish must be well diluted with a solvent. It will be absorbed into the wood and replace the primer.

You can use wax or oil mastic to create a protective layer. Before applying the mastic floor should be otsiklevat. If the boards are of good quality, then it will be sufficient to use a manual grinder.

Start work using a large sandpaper, and finish with the shallowest. After the floor is well rounded off, a wax mastic is applied with a wide brush. After complete drying, the floor is rubbed with a hard brush.

Wooden floors under the protective layer of wax mastics retain the ability to "breathe", but require constant, thorough care. The varnish completely clogs the pores of the tree, but is very practical in use. It is preferable to apply with a roller, and apply only the corners of the room with a brush. It is necessary to apply at least two layers.
