What does this tape tell about? And who played the main roles in it?

The creators of the picture

In the film Yaropolk Lapshin not only actors and roles are noteworthy. "Ugryum River" is a real panorama of the life of the Siberian people, created in 1932 by the novelist Vyacheslav Shishkov.

Yaropolk Lapshin chose the work of Shishkov not by accident: the director spent most of his life in Siberia, in the Sverdlovsk region, so the work seemed to him native and understandable.

Turning the plot of the novel into an exciting scenario, Lapshin was engaged with his companion Valentin Selivanov. In addition, Selivanov worked on scenarios for the films "The Orion's Loop" and "The Diary of Carlos Espinola."

Behind the camera during the shooting was Vasily Kirbyzhekov, who also directed the films "The Strongest" and "Hello, Warsaw!".

In 1969, for a multi-series adaptation of the novel by V. Shishkov "Ugryum River" Yaropolk Lapshin received a special diploma of the WTF.

Short story

The film "Ugrum-river" (1968) tells about the life of several generations of the Siberian family Gromov. The history of the family is covered from the description of the life of his grandfather Danila. In the early XX century. He was known as a fraudulent swindler: during periods of civil unrest, he plundered an enviable condition in gold mines by means of plunder.

All the money and property of Daniel after his death bequeathed to his son Peter and grandson Prokhor. However, before his death, Gromov the elder in the letter confessed to where he had all this good.

Peter turned out to be a prophet, he did not differ in business acumen. Therefore, all the worries about the family business fell on Prokhor. In front of his friends and family, the dreamy youth turned into an equally rigid and unprincipled man, like his grandfather. And although Prokhor achieved the status of the most influential person in Siberia, the "robber" genes of Danil Gromov still came to him sideways.

Throughout the film on the family of Gromovs fall from everywhere unhappiness. Wealth and power do not help solve a whole string of personal and family problems. In the end, Prokhor does not stand the tension and goes crazy. The protagonist rushes from the cliff into the seething Siberian river. This ends the film.

Actors and roles: "Ugryum river". G. Epifantsev in the role of Prokhor Gromov

According to the plot, Prokhor Gromov is the grandson of the robber Danila Gromov and his direct heir. Prokhor is a strong and hardworking person. It differs by its firm principles and moral principles. And yet the grandson had to pay off with interest for the atrocities of his ancestors.

In the film Yaropolk Lapshin, the role of Gromov, Jr. was played by George Epifantsev. The actor is a native of the city of Kerch. In 1960 he graduated from the prestigious School-Studio of the Moscow Art Theater.

For the first time on the screens, George Epifantsev appeared in the film "Thomas Gordeyev" by Mark Donskoy. In the image of the rich merchant Gordeev, the performer looked so convincing that, perhaps, this predetermined his participation in the project "Ugryum River" Lapshin.

The artist can be seen in the image of the revolutionary Mark Elizarov in the painting "Mother's Heart", as well as in the films "Privalov's Millions" and "Do not Give Up Your Beloved".

George Epifantsev became the founder of the actor's dynasty: his three children also became actors.

V. Chekmaryov as Peter Gromov

Victor Chekmaryov in the film adaptation of the novel by V. Shishkov received the role of Peter Danilich, the father of the main character.

In the affairs of the family, Peter Gromov does not play a tangible role. He, more likely, is similar to the dependent, than on the head of family. All cares after the death of Danil Gromov fell on the shoulders of his grandson. And this broke Prokhor Gromov. The father-drunk could only watch from the side, as power and wealth gradually destroy the unfaltering mind of his son.

Viktor Viktorovich Chekmarev is an actor at the Lenfilm studio, a master of negative roles. In the well-known Soviet film "The Rumyantsev Case", Chekmarev was able to play a dangerous recidivist. In the drama "In the power of gold" the performer appeared in the image of the greedy Zasypkin. And in the film "Virgin Soil Upturned" he played the hidden enemy of the collectivization of Yakov Ostrovnov.

Other performers of roles

What else impressed the viewer in the adaptation of Lapshin actors and roles? "Ugryum River", for example, entered the filmography of the inimitable Lyudmila Chursina. The actress of rare beauty played the role of Anfisa - the first beloved Prokhor, whom he then killed.

The role of Nina Kupriyanova, Prokhor's wife, went to Valentina Ivanova. According to the plot, Prokhor married Nina Rada the money of her father (a rich merchant). Anfisa, unable to forgive betrayal, promised to disgrace Prokhor before all. For this Gromov the younger killed his mistress.

The image of Danila's grandfather on the screens was embodied by Afanasy Kochetkov, an actor of the Maly Theater. Valentina Vladimirova was played by Prokhor's mother, Marya Kirillovna.

Also in the film you can see Pavel Makhotin, Vladimir Emelyanov and Givi Tokhadze.
