Development

Since 1931, the profile of the NMP has changed dramatically. The government commissioned the production of quality grade steel and rolled sections of various sections, so necessary for the nascent Soviet industry. During the war, Nadezhda Metallurgical Plant (Serov) had special hopes. He was one of the few suppliers of high-quality steels and rolled more than one hundred marks. New stage

The second birth of Nadezhda Metallurgical Plant survived as part of the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company. For 16 years the enterprise has undergone a large-scale reconstruction, based on the transition from open-hearth furnace to electric steelmaking.

The electric steelmaking complex in the DSP-80, the out-of-furnace steel processing units (ladle furnace and vacuum) and other auxiliary equipment provides a production volume of over 500,000 tons of steel per year. During this time, the production of 328 metal grades was mastered.

Thanks to the vacuum treatment, the quality indicators of the steels supplied to the machine building and automotive industry have grown. In addition, Nadezhda Metallurgical Plant once again produces ball bearing steel with guaranteed quality. Having a wide range of products (over 400 types), the Nadezhdinsky Metallurgical Plant annually replenishes it with new profile sizes of rolled products on grades 850, 450 and 320. On the basis of the calibration production, calibrated rolling with improved machining properties for the automotive industry is produced.

For the last 7 years, 19 new rolling profiles have been mastered at NMP. By 2014, the volume of production of newly developed products reached 80,000 tons, which is 16% in the total volume of rolled metal sold during the year.

Description

In 2016 the enterprise turned 120 years old. After the lapse of a century, several generations of specialists were replaced, the production technology was updated, the range of products expanded significantly. Today, PJSC "NMZ" is an important part of the UMMC holding.

The plant carries out work on the technology of full metallurgical redistribution. Here, steel rolling is manufactured:

Production

The positions of Nadezhda Metallurgical Plant in the sector of calibration rolling are the strongest, where the company steadily holds 2-3 positions among Russian manufacturing plants. In the long products sector, NMZ has been retained for many years in TOP-10 domestic producers. And this despite the pressure of such giants as Mechel, MMK, Severstal and other large mills.

The plant has mastered the smelting of a rare type of steel - a drilling hollow. Some of it is exported. In this direction the enterprise takes a leading position. Also built a water treatment plant, gas cleaning facilities, power supply facilities, an Italian vacuum unit was introduced. A new department has been set up, where ferroalloys are being prepared. The argon block is started. A significant achievement was the launch of the oxygen shop. The equipment of the Italian company SIAD allows the production of 5100 m ^{3 of} oxygen per hour.

The new equipment purchased allows to increase the flexibility of production, to significantly update the assortment, to rebuild technological capacities in accordance with market conditions. Already, up to 30 metal smelting operations are performed per day at the NMP.
