Pioneer Pavlik Morozov

In Soviet times Pavlik Morozov was an example for imitation of pioneers. He was born on November 14, 1918 in the village of Gerasimovka. His parents were peasants. Pavlik became an active participant in the process of dekulakization and headed the first in his village pioneer.

In Soviet history it is said that during the period of collectivization this boy exposed his father in the kulaks. He testified against his father, who was sentenced to 10 years. He also told about the hidden bread from his neighbor, about the theft of state grain, which his uncle did. Pavlik Morozov actively participated in the actions and sought along with the chairman the hidden good of his fellow villagers.

In court, the boy did not oppose his father and did not write a denunciation on him. The only thing he did was confirm the words of his mother, who put forward the main charges. Trofim Morozov, Pavlik's father, beat his wife and often brought home things he received for issuing false documents, and he also kept a large amount of grain.

According to the official version, the boy was killed by a grandfather and a cousin in 1932 in the forest. Mother at this time briefly left for business in the city. The murderers were sentenced to be shot, Pavlik's father was also shot, although he was far away at that time. His mother received an apartment in the Crimea in compensation for the death of her son. Many collective farms, schools and pioneer squads have received a name - "Pavlik Morozov".

The story of the life of this boy was known to the whole Union. About him composed songs and poems, the opera of the same name was created, and Eisenstein even tried to make a film, but his idea could not come to fruition. Today, various sources provide so different information that the question arises whether, in general, did Pavlik Morozov exist? His feat in half the cases was attributed to denunciations and he himself was called a traitor. But we are all still confident that it existed.

First, Pavlik Morozov, who planted his father, was considered a national hero. Pionerskaya Pravda wrote about him: "Pavlik spares no one. The father got caught - he gave it to him, his uncle, his grandfather - he betrayed them too, Shatrakov concealed his weapon, Silin speculated vodka - Pavlik exposed them all. He was brought up in a pioneer organization and therefore grew up as a Bolshevik. "

The history of the murder of Pavlik Morozov was immediately picked up by Soviet propaganda. He was represented by a bold peony Er, who reported on his father-fist. His name was also included in the Book of Honor of the All-Union Pioneer Organization named after Lenin. But half a century later the image began to change, since this story was already unattractive. With the collapse of the USSR, written theses, which said that Pavlik was not a hero at all, but simply conveyed absolutely to everyone.

For the fact that he handed over his own father, Stalin said about him: "Of course, the boy is a bastard, but the heroes need the country." At that time it was necessary to educate a generation of scammers and informers, and this boy became an example.

Today, Pavlik Morozov is not considered a hero or a traitor. He's just a victim of a hard and hard time. This boy died for telling the truth. If you understand this story, you can understand that it is very distorted and changed for the convenience of the authorities of the time.
