Physical and chemical experiments at home: feel like a magician!

The most remarkable thing is that all the experiments described below are conducted at home, and watching them is really exciting, even when you know 100% what the result will be. Well, if some of these experiments you demonstrate to your child, then for a long time you will remain in his imagination a certain creature from a fairy tale, possessing ancient magic. Are you ready? Then rushed!

Experience # 1. Flying tea bags

What you need : matches, scissors, tea bags.

How to make : tea bags should be opened, cut off the label with the label, and pour out the tea bags from the sachets. Then it remains only to put the empty bags on the table (in the form of factory pipes) and set them on fire.

What happens : if you let the bags burn almost to the end, you can see how the warm air entrains the burning packets up. If you are just starting to do experiments at home, this experiment will be an excellent choice, because it is very easy to conduct it, and the flying remains of the bags look even beautiful in their own way.

Experience No. 2. Glowing patissons and cucumbers

What you need : salted and fresh cucumbers, squash, wires, access to 220 V network, copper wire.

How to do it : first you need to attach a copper wire to the wire. Next, you need to stick the tips of the wire into a fresh cucumber and connect the wire to the network. Then change the fresh cucumber to the patisson and do the same with it. Now you need to repeat all these operations with the pickled cucumber.

What happens : In the case of a fresh cucumber, you will see near the holes formed a seething juice and a light smoke emanating from the cucumber. But as soon as you change the cucumber to the patisson, it will start to glow from the inside. The salted cucumber will not only glow, but also move. Such experiments at home prove that the amount of salt in the object is directly proportional to its electrical conductivity.

Experience No. 3. How to cut with scissors ... glass

What you need : an aquarium filled with water, scissors and thin glass.

How to do : a sheet of thin glass should be immersed in an aquarium with water, holding it with one hand. Then lower the hand with scissors into the water and begin to slowly cut the glass.

What happens : in the water due to the capillary effect, the glass becomes much more pliable, and therefore it can be cut very simply, with only a small effort. And the line of the cut will turn out very neat, and not "torn". However, on this experience at home do not end.

Experiment No. 4. Heating of iodine and starch

What you need : a burner, a test tube, starch, water, iodine.

How to make : this experience is often included in various collections such as "Chemical experiments at home for children." Watching the reaction to the students will not only be interesting, but also useful. In a test tube you need to pour a pinch of starch, and then add water. Then add a little iodine, light the burner and gently heat the mixture. Then the test tube should be cooled by placing it in a glass with cold water.

What happens : in the heated state, the solution loses its dark blue color, but when it is cooled, it again returns it.

These and many other interesting experiences at home you can perform at any time. Experiment, try, but most importantly - do not forget about your own safety!
