The most necessary and actual attribute in the care of the fur of fluffy pets is the comb for cats. To accustom to the procedure of combing your pet is necessary from an early age. This will not only give a well-groomed appearance, but also significantly improves the animal's well-being.

Combing tools

Their range is quite diverse, and each tool performs a certain task. For example, a comb with sparse teeth is necessary for cats with long hair. It is convenient to comb out the combs and wool. It is important that the tips of the teeth are not sharp.

A comb for cats, which has frequent and thick denticles, is suitable for the care of short-haired breeds. If the animal, in addition to the long coat, also has a thick undercoat, then a tool with teeth of different lengths will be useful. Such a comb especially helps in the moult period. In order to be able to remove fleas, nits and other parasites from the cat's hair, a comb with very frequent teeth is used.

In addition to combs, an excellent tool for caring for the wool are all kinds of brushes. Their choice should be approached very responsibly, to make the process of combing more comfortable for the cat. Depending on the purpose, the brushes differ in the shape of the teeth and the material from which they are made. Some of them not only comb the hair, but also play the role of a kind of massage machine. When choosing a brush, it should be borne in mind that wooden teeth will crack over time. Among the tools made of synthetic materials, there are those that strongly electrify the wool, which delivers unpleasant sensations to the cat.

Today, manufacturers offer a variety of brushes and combs for cats (a photo of some of them is in this article). This allows you to easily find the right tool for caring for your pet's hair, making the combing procedure pleasant and painless.

Furminator

One of the most modern brushes for cat hair is a fleet. With its help, you can easily comb out the dead undercoat, which makes this tool irreplaceable during the moult. It often happens that the usual hairbrush for cats is not always effective. Furminator is a compact device, the design of which allows you to remove literally in just a few days up to 90% of the dead undercoat. The simplicity of this device makes it possible to use it at any time.

The principle of operation of the fuminator is based on the fact that the undercoat is not cut off, but is picked up and pulled out to the surface without injuring the core hair, and leaving live woolens in place.

Before using this device, you should make sure that the pet's skin is clean, without any ulcers. Wool must be pre-washed and well dried, without any coils. Furminator is the most safe and harmless comb for cats, however, it is suitable only for those pets that have an undercoat.

Shorthair cats are considered, the wool of which does not exceed a length of 4.5 cm. Combing them is recommended 2-3 times during the week. To untangle the wool and remove dirt and particles of dead skin, you need a comb with metal teeth. Their tips should be necessarily rounded. After this procedure, the cat is combed with a special rubber brush in the form of a mitten to collect all the fallen hair and stimulate the skin of the animal.

Especially such a tool is convenient to use in cases where the cat does not want to put himself in order and runs away at the sight of the comb. A brush-mitten allows creating a feeling in an animal that it is simply hand-woven. In this case, the surface in the form of rubber pimples maximally clears the hair from dead and fallen hairs. After combing, you can wipe the cat's coat with a piece of suede.
