Onduville: reviews and practical applications

One of the building novelties of 2012 was onduville. This is a new type of shingles, characterized by increased strength and a small mass. When it is produced, the producers use exclusively natural raw materials of natural origin: bitumen, various mineral additives and fluff pulp.

It is produced in the form of small plates 0.4x1.06 m. The view of onduville (reviews of which speak about the same) strongly resembles classical tiles, but much simpler than its predecessor in the montage.

To paint this roofing material , the so-called "three-color" effect is used, when the color is obtained by accidentally mixing three different shades. This is how it is possible to achieve the "mosaic roof" effect. Since onduvilla (feedback about which is positive) is very light, it can be laid even on the simplest roofs with a light rafter system. In the case of natural tiles, such a roof could easily fall apart.

In addition, for the convenience of buyers, this material is packaged in special packages, which are attached with special nails for onduville. The method of fixing the sheets on the roof resembles that for classical slate. Simply put, nails are driven into the place of overlap of tile waves, fixing them qualitatively on the roof and preventing water and snow from falling under the material. Thus, onduville (the installation instruction will be below) is not only a beautiful and durable material, but also allows to significantly increase the operational life of the roof itself.

Let's start the installation

If, for some reason, there are no special nails in the package, then it is necessary to use their varieties with plastic cap insulation. A sheet of material can be easily sawed by an ordinary hand hacksaw if necessary. By the way, for the convenience of the builders, horizontal markings are applied to each sheet of the onduville, which can be successfully used for the qualitative adjustment of the roofing material.

The classic wave design allows optimal ventilation of the roof, preventing the appearance of condensation, rot and mold. Once again, we note that onduville, the reviews of which speak for themselves, is one of the lightest roofing materials in the world. That's why you can do with the simplest truss construction, greatly reducing the cost of the entire building. Of course, the closest competitor of this shingles in this regard is galvanized metal, but it is terribly thundering with rain. Onduville is completely free from this annoying defect, and therefore it ideally covers the roofs of the attics.

It is excellent for all climatic zones, as it perfectly tolerates strong temperature changes. If the nails for fixing it were clogged correctly, then even strong gusts of squally winds such a roof are not terrible (of course, provided the strength of the rafter system is sufficient). In the case when she still needs repair, onduville (reviews, the price of which is very pleasant) easily stands the weight of a person. The need for a ladder can only arise in the case of a very steep roof.

Thus, with an average cost of 200 rubles per sheet of onduville, reviews of which are simply perfect, fully justifies the confidence of customers.
