Michael Weatherley was married only once. His wife in 1995 was the actress Amelia Heinl, a partner in several serials. The couple have a child: a son named Augustus Manning. In 1997, the marriage of Michael and Amelia, unfortunately, broke up.

In 2000, Wetherly began dating Jessica Alba, whom he met on the set of the film "The Dark Angel." Relations were more than serious, young people even announced an engagement. However, the marriage did not take place, in August 2003, the couple officially announced the severance of relations.
