Lake Sinara - the pearl of the Chelyabinsk region

Freshwater Lake Sinara - one of the largest mountain lakes in the Chelyabinsk region. The reservoir has elongated forms from north-west to south-east: length - 9 km, width - 4. The total area of the lake is about 2.5 thousand hectares. The average depth of the lake is 8 meters, the maximum is 14.5. The water is transparent, visibility is more than 3 meters. The bottom of the reservoir is sandy-stony. Through the rivers, streams and streams unite in a single system Chelyabinsk lakes. Sinara is united with the following reservoirs: Tatysh, Karaguz, Cherkaskul, Okunkul, Chigany, Chernovskoye, Tashkul and Bagaryai. In the reservoir flows the Istok River, flowing from Itkul, and the same water stream flows - Sinara. Lake Sinara is a place of recreation for the population of the closed city of Snezhinsk and tourists coming from all parts of the Russian Federation.

Etymology of the name and legend

The name of the reservoir is Komi-Permian roots (the lands inhabited these nationalities in ancient times) and is translated as "spring, key water". But there is another explanation of the name, which is accompanied by a legend. Even in the days of the dynasty of the Demidovs, who belonged to the local places, one girl, probably a Spaniard, was brought here from a trip across Europe. Settled her merchant on the Nebask stone and on arrival at the Karabashov and Kasli factories visited. Local people say that from longing for the homeland and the beloved, she dropped from the rocky shore and crashed against the rocks. The great crests of the waves forever hid her body. In honor of the girl, whom everyone called the "lord", and they called the lake.

Nature of Sinara

The lake is surrounded by a birch-pine forest on three sides. The eastern edge of Sinara is open. The beach is clean, stony areas are replaced by beautiful sandy beaches. The reservoir does not overgrow, as there is practically no reed on the lake. Among the vegetation, there are often ancient pine trees with bare roots, which are whimsically intertwined. In the forest, large quantities of blueberries and strawberries grow. Right on the shore there are trees under which you can hide from the scorching heat. The infrastructure around the lake is quite simple: a cafe in the village of Vozdvizhenka, three shops in the same place, there is one recreation center (Sinara's country house - 1.5 thousand rubles per day per person) and several houses for fishermen and hunters. Beautiful and picturesque lake Sinara! Photos fully convey the charm of this mountain pond. Of the sights can only be called an old church in honor of the Icon of Our Lady "Sign" in the village of Voskresensky. It was built in the early XIX century, designed by architect Mikhail Malakhov. The church belongs to the best examples of classicism in the South Urals.

Ecology of the lake

On the shore of Sanara is the town of Snezhinsk and the village of Voskresenskoye. After the man-made accident in 1957, radioactive dust did not reach the lake at the closed enterprise "Mayak" in the lake. So say the experts who conducted the research. Rainwater and thawed water from populated areas drain into the reservoir without any cleaning. But in the lake people from Snezhinsk and tourists come to bathe. In recent years, Sinara began to blossom strongly in the summer and produce a not quite pleasant smell. But the city administration claims that this process is not dangerous for human health and life. On the surface of the lake is the boundary of the restricted area of the closed city of Snezhinsk. In winter, the fences of barbed wire are exposed on the ice. The boundaries of the territory are protected by the military unit. A significant part of the lake coast belongs to the territory of the closed city of Snezhinsk. Arriving tourists can rest and fish only from the side of Vozdvizhenka village.
