Mäkäryainen Kaisa: an easy path to victory

Mäkäryäinen Kaisa is a well-known Finnish biathlete, who repeatedly succeeded in becoming a victorious pedestal. Kais is quite a modest girl, so she does not like sharing her personal life with journalists. However, we learn about how Mäkäryainen achieved such successes in sports, from our article.

Childhood, youth of the sportswoman

The future Finnish biathlete was born on January 11, 1983. The birthplace of Kaisa is Kainuu. It is known that biathlon was not the only hobby for the girl. Kaisa was seriously fond of skiing. In this area, she even managed to reach some heights.

Kaisa's parents are ordinary people. Dad athletes - the bus driver, and my mother - a teacher of high school. It should be noted that all her childhood the girl spent in a village called Ristiyarvi (Kainuu).

For the first time Kaisa got on skis at the age of 3, and at 4 years already took part in the competitions in skiing. Parents then said that the girl was so carried away by this sport that she practically did not pay attention to usual children's entertainments. Up to 20 years Mäkäryainen (Kaisa) was engaged in skiing. About the fact that she wants to do biathlon, the girl said at the age of 20. Then she held her first race, showing amazing results.

Since then, Kaisa has become an unchanged representative of the Finnish national biathlon team.

Results in sport

Until 2005, the results of Kaisa left much to be desired. Not once did the Finnish biathlete get into the top twenty. Only in 2006 the athlete manages to break into the top ten in the competitions held in Oberhof.

In 2006, Kaisa is in the top 30 in the overall world standings. This is her first significant success.

In 2007, Mäkäryainen Kaisa takes part in the summer world championships held in the Estonian city of Otepää. In the second race, the Finnish team manages to win the relay race. The next sprint race ends also safely. Kaisa at last began to reap the fruits of her hard work.

The beginning of the 2008/2009 season for Kaisa was not very successful. Only at the 6th stage of the World Cup the athlete can take the 2nd place in the mass start and the pursuit race.

At the end of the season Mäkäryainen Kaisa gets a serious knee injury, which involves an urgent operation. Then the Finnish sportswoman thinks that you can put a cross on your career. But as it turned out, this makes it even stronger. In the same period, Kaisa carries out another operation - before our eyes. According to the athlete herself, it was the impaired vision that prevented her from achieving the highest results in shooting.

Season 2009/2010 is also unsuccessful. Only once, Kaisa is able to take third place in the sprint race. Disappointment awaits and at the Olympics. The reason for such a terrible performance athlete was an intestinal infection.

Luck and failures in a career

Season 2010/2011 is for Kaisa the most successful in his career. The athlete takes the first place in the pursuit and the second - in the relay race. In the second and third stages, Mäkäräinen becomes only the victorious steps.

Excellent athletes show at the World Championships in Khanty-Mansiysk. Kaisa wins the race in pursuit and wins a silver medal in the sprint.

Unfortunately, Kais's subsequent seasons fail. While in 2012 (in Oberhof) does not take second place in the sprint race. Only the victorious places follow. Thanks to his efforts, Mäkäryäinen Kaisa, whose biography is described in our article, receives the second Crystal Globe in his career.

At the World Cup 2015, Kaisa receives the only silver medal. In 2016, the sportswoman can lead in the pursuit race, and at the 5th stage of the World Cup in Ruhpolding, the Finnish biathlete takes the 2nd place in the individual race.

Personal life of Kaiza

Mäkäryainen Kaisa (height, weight - 187 cm and 58 kg respectively) lives under one roof with her boyfriend Jarkko Kauppinen, for whom he plans to get married in the near future. The athlete notes that there is nothing better in life than spending free time with your loved one.

It is worth saying that the Finnish biathlonist likes to relax in the open air and travel.

We wish the athlete luck at the World Championships in Holmenkollen, which starts on February 29, 2016, but for now we are satisfied with the races of the 7th stage in Canada.
