A family

The girl's father, Alexei Bubnov, served as the secretary of the Leningrad City Executive Committee since 1943. After some time he was arrested during the implementation of the Leningrad case. In 1950, a man was shot because of accusations of involvement in counter-revolutionary activities and assistance to enemies. In 4 years he was posthumously rehabilitated. All members of the family Alexei Alexandrovich automatically came under suspicion, for which they too were arrested. The girl's mother was sent to the Taishet camp, and Lyudmila herself was sent to a child labor correctional colony, where she lived until 1953.

The head of the colony, Victoria Nikolaevna, immediately noticed an active and capable girl. Lyudmila Verbitskaya studied at the school, and then was able to pass the entrance exams to Lviv University to the Faculty of Philology. After her father was rehabilitated, Verbitskaya was able to transfer to Leningrad.

During her management in the school there were two new faculties - medical and international relations. In 2008, Lyudmila Verbitskaya became the president of St. Petersburg State University. In the spring of 2010, in combination with his founding post, he became dean of the Faculty of Philology.

Scientific activity

Verbitskaya Lyudmila Alekseevna wrote about 300 educational and scientific manuals in the fields of phonetics, philology and general linguistics. They formed the basis for the creation of new directions in philology, which are associated with interference of sounds and pronunciation norms. A year before the defense of the candidate's work, she is elected a member of the Russian Academy of Education. In autumn 2013, he takes up a new position - the president of the Russian Academy of Education. Ludmila Verbitskaya receives a government approval for the position.

Under the President of the Russian Federation Lyudmila Verbitskaya is a member of a number of councils: in science, linguistics, and also guaranteeing the constitutional rights of citizens. In government bodies, a woman is a member of the methodological council for educational publications under the Ministry of Education and Science. In St. Petersburg he works as an adviser to the governor of the city on education and the media. Personal life

Lyudmila's husband had a similar story. He was the son of Alexander Verbitsky, who was subjected to repression in the same Leningrad case. Vsevolod Alexandrovich was the only husband of Lyudmila. In the couple's marriage two girls were born - Victoria and Elena. The man died in 1998.
