These include, for example, wheat sprouts, barley sprouts , spirulina (blue-green algae species), poppy (Peruvian root), coenzyme Q10, lipoic acid, ginseng.

The importance of lipoic acid for the body

Alpha-lipoic acid (analogues in tablets will be presented below) is contained in every cell of the human body. After all, we get it from food, and our body, in turn, synthesizes it. Thanks to her man leads a full, energetic life. Its advantage is the ability to function in both water and fat.

Alpha-lipoic acid was first obtained from beef liver cells in the fifties of the last century. Nowadays, scientists have learned to receive this product within the walls of the laboratory.

Products that contain lipoic acid:

  • By-products (liver, heart, kidneys);
  • Broccoli, spinach, Brussels sprouts, peas, tomatoes;

Regular use of lipoic acid increases the body's ability to fight toxins. A unique advantage of alpha-lipoic acid is its ability in the fight against toxins to enhance the properties of its "allies" - vitamins C and E.

Lipoic acid also improves digestion (metabolism), which contributes to weight loss. Influencing the areas of the brain that cause appetite, lipoic acid, analogues block the feeling of hunger. Also this substance reduces the process of fat accumulation by the liver. Of course, the best results can be achieved by combining the reception of alpha-lipoic acid with physical loads and the appropriate, properly selected diet.

Some scientists also call lipoic acid the secret of eternal youth, because it prevents the destruction of DNA molecules, i.e., prevents the aging of the organism to some extent. Moreover, lipoic acid, analogs interfere with the process of brain degradation.

Now you know how lipoic acid, analogues, are useful for the human body. "Oktalipen" is one of the analogues of lipoic acid and is used for medicinal purposes, as well as for weight loss. It helps to reduce the amount of glucose in the human blood, and also to increase the level of production in the human liver of glycogen, which forms in the body an energy reserve that can compensate for a sharp drop in blood sugar.

"Octolipen" contains thiocot (alpha-lipoic) acid and auxiliary substances. It is sold in capsules of 300 mg and in tablets coated with 600 mg capsules, as well as in ampoules for injections.

If the drug is used by people with diabetes, it is recommended that the blood sugar level be constantly monitored during the initial intake. Also during treatment, alcohol is not allowed, which reduces the therapeutic effect of lipoic acid.

R-alpha-lipoic acid

Under laboratory conditions, scientists have learned to obtain the r-isomer of lipoic acid, which contains the highest concentration of this substance. Such a variety is less common, but is better absorbed by the body and, therefore, more expensive. For sale, for example, as a food supplement for athletes.
