The actress met her future husband (Yuri Vasiliev) in Gelendzhik. She and her friend rested on the sea and unexpectedly her eyes met the look of a young man emerging from the water. It was love at first sight.

It turned out that Yuri Vasilyev is studying in Moscow at VGIK. Nelly was then a student at the Shchepkinsky School. For sure, everyone remembers Vasilyeva as Rodion in the film "Moscow does not believe in tears." In the impressive actor, the entire female half of the Soviet Union was in love. But before the premiere of Men'shov's film, Yuri Vasilyev was known as the main character in the film "Journalist" by Sergei Gerasimov.

For the USSR, this film was a sensation, it was filmed not only at home, but also in France, where Vasiliev met with Ani Girardeau and Mireille Mathieu.

Unlike the hero in Men'shov's painting, Yuri was an ideal husband and father. They had a daughter Katya, everything went on as usual. But once Vasilyev, coming home and refusing to have dinner, lay down on the bed and fell asleep. But this dream was eternal.
