A bit of history

Founded poultry factory "Reftinskaya" was in 1981. Forage at that time the company bought the feed on the side. Later, in 2001, the factory management decided to lease a large plot of land in the Kamyshlovsky district. This was done for the purpose of independently growing grain crops and processing them for poultry mixed fodder.

In 2008, the part of the factory was also the Asbestovsky cattle breeding complex, which specializes in growing cattle. At present, thus, the company has the opportunity to supply to the market not only poultry and eggs, but also milk. Also at the factory-owned complex, a breeding work is conducted to sell the producers to other agricultural companies and individuals.

In 2011 the poultry factory "Reftinskaya" became a joint stock company. Its director at the moment is NV Toporkov. Like some other enterprises of the food industry in the Sverdlovsk region, Reftinskaya is classed as strategically important objects whose main goal is to ensure food security for the population in the region.

Project capacity

In the first years after the opening of the poultry factory, "Reftinskaya" produced not too many products. In the 80 years of the last century its design capacity was only about 13-15 thousand tons of poultry meat. In the new millennium, the factory's management developed large-scale programs for its development and modernization. For the plant, new modern equipment was purchased. In addition, new technologies for poultry breeding were introduced. Thanks to the measures taken, to date the capacity of the complex has increased to 60-80 thousand tons per year.

Economic indicators and the situation in the factory today

For several years now the enterprise has demonstrated a steady growth in production. So, in 2013, the net profit of the factory was 40.68 million rubles, in 2014 - 45.83 million rubles, in 2015 - 69.28 million rubles. Thus, "Reftinskaya" can be considered an economically viable enterprise. However, the business at this factory, unfortunately, is still not going as smoothly as we would like.

The problems of the enterprise are connected, first of all, with changes in leadership. The current director of the refinery "Reftinskaya" NV Toporkov was repeatedly criticized by his predecessor V. Valchuk. The latter, for example, sent documents to the Minister of Agroindustrial Complex of the Sverdlovsk Region, indicating an artificial overstatement of profits at the enterprise.

Later, the ex-director himself was accused of organizing deliveries of low-quality fodder to the factory at inflated prices in order to profit personally. The criminal prosecution against V. Valchuk was terminated only in connection with the amnesty.

In 2017, the enterprise was included in the program for the implementation of the Sverdlovsk Region for a year. Such a decision by the leadership of the region aroused dissatisfaction of some deputies. Questions among people's representatives arose, primarily in connection with the declared value of the company at 700 million rubles. Many deputies considered this figure too low.

Despite the existing difficulties, JSC Poultry Factory "Reftinskaya" continues to develop. The enterprise constantly implements programs aimed at increasing labor productivity and, ultimately, profitability. So, for example, a new project aimed at motivating workers and employees is introduced into the life of the factory as part of the personnel policy. The main objectives of the program are to eliminate such shortcomings as:

• Prevalence of negative attitudes in the team;
• Lack of a well-developed promotion system.

Measures to eliminate these problems in the factory are as follows:

• Expansion of socio-psychological factors in stimulating staff;
• Development of a career management system.

Product Reviews

The opinion about the meat of the bird supplied to the market of the Sverdlovsk region and about the semi-finished products of this producer was mixed among consumers. So, there are both almost enthusiastic, and extremely negative feedback about the plant's products. Chicken dumplings produced at the factory, for example, are praised by almost all housewives without exception. Many believe that in this price category they are the most delicious of all sold in local stores. Like dumplings "Reftinsky" consumers primarily for the fact that they are stuck in chicken mincemeat, not soy. When cooking this product is not completely boiled.

Negative feedback on the products of such an enterprise, as the Reftinskaya poultry farm, are connected, first of all, with its freshness. In particular, this applies to chicken meat. Many buyers complain, for example, to the rotten smell of purchased carcasses supplied by the factory, or necks. And shop sellers insist that such low-quality products are already directly from the enterprise itself.
