Modern agro-industrial complex

Agriculture is the main activity of man since the moment when he separated from the surrounding nature. All other unreasonable animals and plants developed according to the mechanisms prescribed by nature, and he began to follow his own reason and observations. It all began, as specialists joke, from a small piece of land that was processed and eventually turned into a multifunctional agro-industrial complex, which is currently in operation. At the same time, the traditions that have developed over many millennia continue to operate, despite scientific and technological progress. The habit of working on land is firmly entrenched in the mind of man.

If you look at how people live and work in remote areas from administrative centers, then we can say that the picture in different countries is, in principle, the same. In private farms, cattle are bred, vegetables and fruits are grown.

Then the results of labor received in this way are received by the processing enterprises.

From this it follows that the agro-industrial complex includes two main components - production and processing. Although small farms make a worthy contribution to the total output, a significant part of the output is grown in large farms.

Assessing the changes that are taking place in this area, analysts note a decrease in the number of small producers.

This process is influenced by objective reasons. First of all, it should be noted that the agro-industrial complex attracts the attention of the scientific community and specialists from the field of engineering. To increase the yield of cereals, for example, a wide range of fertilizers is synthesized in laboratories and then produced. In animal husbandry, to raise the level of productivity of the herd, new breeds of cattle are hatched. Receiving significant weight gains, it is necessary to increase the productivity of meat processing enterprises. In turn, this requires new materials, equipment, machinery and mechanisms. Exactly the same picture develops in crop production.

The agro-industrial complex of the world produces a huge amount of agricultural products. And both in terms of volume and assortment. Different countries produce different products. For example, bananas are grown in tropical latitudes. And grain crops, such as wheat, rye and oats, in countries that are located in a temperate climatic zone. At the same time, the agro-industrial complex of each country tends to expand the range of its products. If in Greece, under the pressure of external circumstances, switched to the production of olive oil, then Ukraine tries to grow both cereals and oil crops.

Of course, one should add to this that the structure of the agroindustrial complex includes the system of delivering the products to the end user. As noted above, the use of various scientific and technical achievements has allowed not only to increase the productivity of agriculture, but also to create entirely new materials for the preservation of food. Currently, a large volume of agricultural goods is delivered to the counters of shopping centers in a packaged and canned form. In this way, products are preserved for a long period and do not lose their consumer qualities.
