Ivan Vasiliev - the highest paid artist of the Russian ballet

Ivan Vasiliev (photo below) - a famous ballet dancer. Initially, he appeared in the Bolshoi Theater, but later became prime minister in Mikhailovsky. In 2014 he received the title of Honored Artist of Russia. Recently debuted as a choreographer with the play "Ballet No. 1". The article will describe a short biography of the artist.

Childhood

Ivan Vasiliev was born in 1989 in the village of Tavrichanka (Primorsky Krai). The boy's father was a military man, and the family often had to move. Soon Vasiliev-senior was transferred to Dnepropetrovsk. There, Ivan's childhood passed. At the age of four he went along with his older brother and mother to casting in a folk ensemble for children. Initially, only my brother wanted to dance, but the future artist so eagerly showed interest in them, that the teachers enrolled him as well.

Learning

At the age of seven, the boy saw a ballet performance. Ivan immediately fell in love with this art form. He moved from a folk ensemble to a choreographic school, and then began to study classical dance at the Belarusian State College. The head of Vasiliev was the famous ballet master Alexander Kolyadenko. By the way, Ivan was enrolled to the college at once for the third year, as he easily performed elements that his peers did not even know yet.

During his studies Ivan Vasiliev passed an internship at the Belarusian Theater. There the young man played in such productions as "Corsair" and "Don Quixote". After graduating from college, he went to Moscow.

Ballet

In 2006, Ivan Vasiliev was able to get on the stage of the Bolshoi Theater. To achieve this goal, it took him four years. It was during this period that the young man became the premier of the troupe. Vasiliev played the main parts in such productions as Giselle, Petrushka, The Nutcracker, Don Quixote and Spartacus. Also, together with N. Tsiskaridze, he participated in the international project "Kings of Dance".

In late 2011, the media reported that the leaders of the Bolshoi Theater Natalia Osipova and Ivan Vasilyev moved to St. Petersburg. And it was not even the Mariinsky. Young people got a job at the Mikhailovsky Theater, whose rating was low. It turned out that Ivan needed a serious challenge, a severe motivation for further growth in the profession.

Periodically Vasiliev appears on the stage of the American theater. He is also invited to the well-known entertaining performances. For example, at the opening ceremony of the Sochi Olympics (the painting "The First Ball of Natasha Rostova") and the project "Solo for Two", made in the style of Contemporary.

They say that at the moment Ivan is among the most highly paid dancers in the world. But Vasiliev is not very interested. First of all, ballet for him is art. Recently the young man tried himself as a choreographer. The actor staged a play called "Ballet No. 1".

As soon as the young man moved from Belarus to Moscow, he met Natalia Osipova, who worked as a dancer. Together they reached the highest in the theater titles - premiere and prima. Natalia and Ivan became a couple not only on the big stage, but also in real life. Their friends had waited for many years for the wedding of the dancers, but as a result, Osipova and Vasiliev parted ways.

Soon the hero of this article met a new love in the Bolshoi Theater. She was a ballerina Maria Vinogradova. She danced with Ivan in the production of "Spartacus." A spark ran between the young men. It's funny that Vasilyev invited her to a first date at the Bolshoi Theater. True, not for ballet, but for opera.

After a while Ivan made a beloved offer. And everything was very romantic: in a room strewn with rose petals Vasiliev stood on his knee and handed Maria a ring from a famous jewelry brand. Naturally, the girl could not resist and agreed. The wedding was held in June 2015 and a year later the couple had a daughter, Anna.
