Insolation is important!

Sunlight is essential not only for plants that die very quickly without it. People are slightly less dependent on lighting, but they too will not live very long without sunlight. Of course, you can live with electrical lighting, but a variety of diseases will be your companions throughout life. Not for nothing long decades of consumption was considered an incurable disease - it was provoked by living conditions in rooms with insufficient illumination, in which most of human life proceeded.

Why do we need light

The consumption (it's tuberculosis) is not the only disease that people face when they lack light. The list of diseases that begin to "bloom" with a lack of sun, include: rickets - especially dangerous for young children; Scurvy is a forgotten disease that is caused not only by the lack of vitamins, but also by the lack of lighting; Osteoporosis - according to new medical data, also provoked by a deficit of life-giving sunlight. What to say, even diabetes mellitus occurs in a lighter form, if a person lives in normal lighting conditions. So we can say that insolation is the guarantee of the survival of mankind. And if you are going to buy housing, ask first of all whether your future apartment is well lit.

Justification of the requirements for the quantity and quality of light

Let's look at the terms. Insolation is the degree of illumination of any room during the day. And do not think that the more the sun - the steeper and more remarkable. Those who have an apartment with windows to the south, fence off from the burning and blinding light in a variety of ways in the summer. Excess lighting is as harmful as its shortcoming. Insolation is precisely the exact calculation, balancing between two equally unhelpful extremes.

The normative calculation of insolation always depends on the geography. If you are oriented at 55 degrees north latitude, then the main focus for calculating what kind of insolation of buildings is needed, is given time, from March 22 to September 22. In other latitudes, the vital period of coverage, of course, is shifting.

There is another factor on which sun exposure depends. This room is an apartment. If the number of rooms is up to three, then at least one of them must be illuminated; If there are four or more - at least two should be illuminated.

Duration of illumination

This issue was resolved and fixed in the 60's of the twentieth century. Categorically established that to preserve the health of people living in the apartment, one and a half to two hours a day, housing should be well lit by the sun. If the sun "visits" the room longer - this is a plus, but its excess, as already mentioned, is not a useful factor. Even three-hour intensive lighting stimulates the actually explosive reproduction of microbes and bacteria - and most of them are pathogenic. So the city planners try to deploy the buildings so that the windows of the houses do not go out strictly to the south. To be honest, insolation of residential buildings is a whole science.

Special cases

The northern and central zones have some indulgences in terms of insolation standards - it can be reduced by 10 minutes if at least two rooms are illuminated in the apartment.
If we consider a multi-storey building (a height of more than 9 floors), as well as areas of the city where there is a crowded houses and a dense building area, insolation of buildings is also undergoing some changes. First of all, insolation is intermittent, in some cases it can be multiple. True, the total insolation time should be increased by half an hour.

Let's pay attention to the details of the building, where the "relief" of the insolation regime is possible. The main and most justified case is the so-called meridional buildings, in which almost all the rooms are illuminated. It is clear, the norms of insolation are observed in any case. The second option is reconstruction. If a person wants to limit himself to lighting and does not violate the rights of neighbors, this is his own business, he wants to risk his health, let him take risks. But the third option ...

Rights violation

There is a very streamlined formulation, which even experienced lawyers can hardly explain. It sounds like "particularly complex town-planning conditions." An exact definition of "complexity" does not exist, but it can be written off anything. This point is used by unscrupulous officials or businessmen building a shopping center, which looks into the windows of apartments in a residential building. If there is no desire, leave everything as is. But remember: insolation of the room is very significant, lack of light affects both the physical and mental health of a person. This is especially evident in children and the elderly. Do not want to heal your offspring, or sooner to bury your ancestors (and fight the diseases that will overtake you in the near future) - insist on your right to have a vital "sip" of light.
