Rules for the passage of crossroads

Crossings of highways, called intersections, must be passed, observing the thirteenth section of the traffic rules. In different countries, these rules are different, but there is one common thing among them is to skip pedestrians. This is recorded in the first paragraph of the thirteenth section of the SDA. It indicates the actions of the driver when turning left or right. The rules for crossing the intersections oblige pedestrians to give way if they cross the carriageway in the place where the vehicles are sent. The same priority is enjoyed by cyclists. This rule should be followed even if there is no markup or signs indicating a pedestrian crossing.

In places where roads intersect, people have the right to go to the opposite pavement along a line that is a continuation of the roadside. The requirement of the first paragraph of the thirteenth section of the SDA is universal and must be met at any intersection. The actions of the driver will remain the same if signs indicating priority are placed at the intersection of the roads. The rules for the passage of regulated intersections require the same. Just do not stand at the stop line when you turn on the green traffic light. In this situation, the car gives way to people passing it, being directly at the crossroads.

When turning left, the driver must give way to all oncoming vehicles - both nonmechanical and mechanical. The rules for crossing the intersections when moving to the road to the right, require the driver to drive in the right row. If there is a cyclist on the roadway, then there is a need to choose a certain speed. In this case, the non-mechanical vehicle must be located either in front or behind the vehicle. If there is special marking on the roadway, the driver will have to give way to the cyclist.

The rules for the passage of crossroads prohibit traveling to it in cases of a jam. In this situation, the car will be an obstacle to the movement of vehicles in the transverse direction. This requirement is contained in the second paragraph of the thirteenth section of the SDA. Often, drivers violate this rule, fill the intersection with cars, which are located on it in staggered order. This creates a cork, preventing further movement. This requirement of the rules is also universal and applies to all types of intersections. Do not ignore it even while driving on the main road. If there is a traffic jam at the intersection, it is necessary to stop and wait until it is liquidated. The same actions should be performed even when the color of the signal lights up on the traffic light. Renew traffic only if there is a free path at the intersection.

The rules for the intersections in the third paragraph of the thirteenth section classify the intersections of roads. Two types are distinguished. The first of these is regulated intersections. The order of traffic when crossing such roads is determined by means of traffic lights. Also at such an intersection there may be an adjuster. There are cases when the traffic light does not work, reflecting a flashing yellow signal. At the same traffic on the intersection of roads is not ordered by a traffic police officer. In such situations, drivers have a duty to act somewhat differently. Here it is necessary to apply the rules for the passage of unregulated intersections and adhere to signs indicating priority.

The order of traffic on the intersection of roads has its own specific features. Therefore, it is important to understand, remember all the rules and quickly, and also unerringly learn their application in driving practice.
