Inexpensive analog of "Loratadin": description, instruction and feedback

Allergic reactions are called the illness of the century. And this is not surprising. Every year more and more people in the world feel the influence of environmental factors and the inability of the body to cope with the consequences of these influences. And if in 2012 such patients were more than 40 percent, now it is almost every second. Therefore, scientists pay great attention to the search for drugs that help to eliminate the consequences of allergic reactions and prevent their manifestations.

What is an allergy?

This is an exorbitant, very strong reaction to irritating factors coming from outside. The body for some reason begins to perceive the usual substances hitherto as alien and threatening.

Contribute to these reactions are various inflammatory processes, both acute and chronic. The impetus for their development can be any stress, both psychological and physical: hypothermia or severe overheating of the body.

Causes of allergies

They depend on the predisposition of a particular person to the influence of this or that factor, but in different climatic zones they have different manifestations.

In the middle latitudes it is plant pollen, insect bites. In the south, they are joined by the sun's rays, which can cause extensive skin reactions.

Northern latitudes threaten the development of allergies to low temperatures and infectious diseases.

Kinds

Types of allergies:

  • Cutaneous;
  • Medicinal;
  • Respiratory (pollen of some plants or dust acts as an allergen);
  • Infectious;
  • Injection (from the bites of bees and other insects).

Typically, a person who reacts to one of the types of allergens, turns out to be prone to other things. Therefore, it is so important to have a medicine that would help in any case.

Allergic reactions, whether itching, swelling, or redness, are caused by a biologically active substance histamine. In addition, he is involved in various inflammatory processes.

"Loratadin"

Loratadine is a substance that helps to cope with the manifestations of an allergic reaction of various origins. But it is based on a number of drugs, the most famous of which are Claritin and Loratadin. They are related to second generation drugs. In fact, this is the same medicine, but from different manufacturers. "Claritin" is produced by Belgian companies of the company "Sharing Plow". "Loratadin" is a non-patented analog of "Claritin". Its price is much smaller.

They block histamine, reducing swelling of tissues, remove spasms of smooth muscles, make capillaries less permeable. Half an hour after taking the medicine, the result is already noticeable. There is a drug for a day, but the maximum effect occurs 10 hours after admission. The advantage of the drug is that it is not addictive, so it can be used for a long time. But it's better still after a while to change it to an analog - "Loratadin".

It is excreted through the kidneys.

Form of issue

Tablets containing 10 mg of active substance, 10 pieces per blister or 20 pieces in a plastic jar.

Syrup in bottles of 100 ml.

Side effects

Among the side effects of drugs based on loratadine, 12% of headache is noted, 8% of respondents called drowsiness, 4% - fatigue, and 2% disturbed concentration of attention, dizziness, nervousness, tremor.

3% of users have dry mouth, 2% have increased appetite, toothache, constipation or diarrhea, nosebleeds, bronchitis and other symptoms.

Very rarely there are convulsions, necrosis of the liver, alopecia.

Contraindications

Who is anti-bothered by "Loratadin"? Tablets (analogs including) are not prescribed if the patient has personal intolerance to the components, during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Possible violations of the liver, vomiting. Do not advise to apply it at a time when the patient is behind the wheel, because there may be a decrease in attention.

Patients with liver problems receive the drug in a reduced dosage (half of the norm).

Analogues of "Loratadin"

Among similar drugs, several groups can be distinguished. The first includes analogs with the same active substance replacing "Loratadine".

  • "Claritin", which was already mentioned.
  • "Loratadin Teva" of the Hungarian company Teva. It is slightly cheaper than Claritin.
  • "Lora Hexal" - tablets of the German firm "Salutas". Cheaper than the "Claritin".
  • "Lominal" of the Slovenian company "Lek". Produced in the form of tablets, syrup and suspension.
  • "Alerpriv", Argentine pills.
  • "Erolin", tablets of the Hungarian company "Ethis".
  • "Loratidin Stoma" (Ukraine).
  • Clarotadine, Clarinase, Claridol and others with the first syllables Clari- or Claro. These are Russian drugs manufactured in the form of tablets, suspensions or syrups.
  • "Cetirizine" - quickly penetrates the body and eliminates allergies on the skin. But it can cause serious consequences: aggression, hallucinations, thrombocytopenia, hepatitis, even suicidal behavior.

For all these preparations, the mass of the active substance and the tablets themselves, as well as the percentage of the components, are the same. The price depends on the availability of the patent and the funds spent on advertising.

Using non-patented products, you can buy drugs manufactured with a violation of technology. Therefore, doctors, caring about the health of patients, do not advise to replace "Claritin" with similar medications. But often this is a quality medicine with the same effect as the original. Usually the patient, weighing all the pros and cons, makes his choice in favor of analogues.

Preparations of the third generation are "Desloratidine", "Cetrin" and "Zirtek". Only the first of them was created on the basis of loratadin. Drugs that are related to the second generation, sometimes can cause arrhythmia. Especially if you use them with antidepressants or grapefruit juice. The same reaction is observed in the violation of the liver.

But the comparison of "Loratadin" and "Desloratadine" did not show any differences in their toxicity.

The last two antihistamines, "Cetrin" and "Zirtek", contain dezloratadine as the active substance. They have fewer side effects. But their price is much higher than the "Loratadin".

Cheap analog

This is the first generation drugs. It is believed that the strength of their actions is lower, and the consequences are noted more often. Cheaper, than "Loratadin", analogues are "Tavegil", "Ketotifen", "Suprastin", known to all "Dimedrol", "Pipolphen", "Clemastin". As already noted, these drugs are weaker, but a lower price often causes the patient to choose them.

Storage conditions

"Loratadin", analogs and substitutes for this remedy are stored in a dry place at a temperature of 16-20 degrees. Do not allow sunlight to hit the blisters and bottles.
