How to use clinker tiles, or advice on how to lay them
Clinker tiles - an excellent option for both finishing the facade of the house, and for the adjacent territory. To the effects of the external environment, it is very stable, and thanks to the efforts of numerous designers, it has a beautiful appearance. Of course, when working with clinker tiles you can not do without minimal skills and experience. But however, everything is not so difficult that a non-professional could not handle this job. The most important thing here is to follow instructions exactly.
To do this, you can use any quality filler or mixture for plastering the surface. It is very important after the drying of the putty defects that the surface should be primed, since the primer allows many times to increase the adhesion of the material. This is especially important if the clinker façade tiles are laid.
We carefully sort the available material. The problem is that because of the characteristics of the raw materials, it is often possible to meet specimens of different shades originating from the same batch. To avoid unpleasant effects, mix the tiles from several packs and try to lay it down. After choosing the most suitable one, you can prepare a sand-cement mortar or a special tile mix for styling. After that you can start working with clinker tiles.
Gently and very evenly spread the mixture on the surface to be finished, then powder it with a dry cement powder. After this, you can start laying the tiles, which from time to time sprinkle with water. Completely finished packing for several hours covered with a plastic film.
Keep in mind that the adhesive properties of the finished mixture last no more than an hour, so in one case it's better not to spread more than one square meter of the tile. In many ways this property of the mixture depends on the temperature and humidity of both the surface itself and the ambient air. If you delayed and the solution begins to dry out, you will have to scrape it off, clean the surface again, and then start working again with clinker tiles.
At the end of the work, you must carefully clean the finished coating. We advise you to use special cleaning compounds. In particular, "Poverfix" and "Helotil" have proved themselves very well. Do not forget that when working with clinker tiles in this case, you need to protect your hands with gloves made of dense latex.
