How to lay a laminate under the warm floor, what are the features of the process?

When we come to someone's house, the first thing that comes into view is a floor covering. The beauty and cosiness of the house largely depend on its appearance and quality characteristics, so it is not recommended to save on the flooring. However, the cost of good material is sometimes such that willy-nilly you want at least to save something.

For example, having bought a beautiful and expensive laminate, many begin to look for a way to put it on their own. And if you are going to lay a laminate under a warm floor, the need for a competent laying of it becomes simply obvious. By the way, is this really real? Let's try to figure it out ...

Deciding to put the laminate yourself, it is important to stock up on time and patience, as this process is quite labor-intensive (like any major repairs, by the way speaking). It is very important to prepare the floor surface. It should be as flat as possible, without strong swings and bumps. If you use warm floors in the form of film infrared heaters, especially "wise" does not have to. But when choosing water heating systems will have to make a quality screed. Here it is necessary to make a digression and say that it is better to entrust the screed to professionals, since it must be laid perfectly smoothly. It should be noted that the warm floor under the laminate, the reviews speak for themselves, involves the use of the highest quality and resistant to the impact of the external environment of the laminate.

On the prepared surface we lay a special substrate, it is desirable not to cover the entire area of the room with it, but to lay it gradually on the sheet in width. An ideal option for a concrete screed is a cork lining, but its cost is very high. The cork can go out more expensively than the laminate itself under the warm floor, and so much more often use cheaper analogs.

Laying of laminate boards depends on the location in the window room. It is desirable to have the laminate perpendicular to the window, in which case the seams on it will be the least noticeable. It is important to note that to lay a laminate under a warm floor you need to maximally qualitatively sizing the seams, otherwise the joints between the panels can disperse due to temperature differences.

Having determined the direction of laying, we prepare the necessary tools: a jigsaw (for sawing an unnecessary remainder of a board), a pencil, spacers 1-2 cm thick. These spacers are placed around the perimeter of the room near the wall, as they give room for maneuvering at room irregularities. You will also need a wooden bar and a hammer. As you can see, the warm floors under the laminate (the price of which, by the way, has recently decreased), practically do not limit you in the choice of materials and methods of work.

We lay the first board and from the front side we bring the second one. Laying is made on the principle of a comb-groove, and the reliability of each connection must be checked individually. Take the wooden bar and apply it to the end of the second board over the groove, knock on it with a hammer. Thus we provide a tight grip between the laminate plates. In this sequence, lay out a series. Each board in the following rows will be interlocked from four sides, so the quality of the connection must be paid the most attention.

In short, lay the laminate under the warm floor should be in the usual manner.
