How to lay a brickwork?

The category of eternal things, undoubtedly, is brickwork. This type of construction is actual and now, because the brick has excellent quality, operational and aesthetic characteristics. It is reliable, durable and safe. But before building a house from this material, you need to learn how to lay the brickwork, as well as understand its forms. After all, it can be Dutch, chain, Gothic, cross, multi-row, cross and multi-row without horizontal bandaging.

And the knowledge of how to lay a brickwork, can be useful not only for the erection of walls. They can be used to impart a beautiful texture to the supporting structure, that is, the pattern. And the complexity of building a house of brick depends on the professional skills of the mason and the type of masonry chosen. So, for example, Gothic - this is a mixed series, in the Dutch masonry mixed and tumbling rows alternate. In short, each species has its own peculiarities, and it is selected depending on the type of the object being erected.

Also, before laying brickwork, especially when erecting bearing walls, it is worth exploring its economical views. An example is a well technology, where two walls, made in half a brick, are connected by bridges: vertical and horizontal. And free space is filled with lightweight concrete or backfill. At the same time, the brick is saved and the thermal insulation of the building is increased. In addition, the interlayer between the bricks can be airy, because the air is also a good heat insulator. Still emptiness can be filled with mineral felt or a plate warmer. This will increase the heat-shielding properties of the walls by 30 and 50%. And the strength of the load-bearing structure is provided by all types of masonry, if, of course, to learn how to properly lay a brick.

To start building a wall, you will need the brick itself, as well as sand and cement. You will also need a solution tank, a rake-poryadovka, the level and tools of the mason: barking, hammer-pick, trowel and others. Before laying a brickwork, you need to prepare a base for it. It should be leveled horizontally, seal the cavities on its surface and, if necessary, lay the waterproofing. Then, from both sides of the wall to be installed, set the slats-poryadovki and check their verticality with a plumb bob. Then, between the respective divisions on the rails, a cord is stretched, which must pass 5-8 mm from the outer line of the wall and be located 75-78 mm from its base. This is the height of one row.

Then prepare a masonry mortar of cement and sand in a ratio of 1: 4 or with the addition of lime 1: 1: 3. Lime makes it more plastic, and the working properties at the same time last longer. Also, before laying the brickwork, it is necessary to moisten the bricks. They can be poured from a bucket or hose all together or dipped in water each. The material should not have dry surfaces, but also water films should also not remain.

Then you can start laying. You should start from the edge of the wall. First, a bed of mortar for several bricks is placed on the base. Then the first one is laid in it and pressed into the solution. Also, it should be aligned so that its outer edge passes 5 mm from the tensioned cord and parallel to it, and the side edge is next to the rack-order. Then the second brick is taken, and a solution is applied to its lateral surface. It is placed next to the first and aligned on the cord. Thus, the whole row is laid, then a cord is pulled over a row and the second starts, but from the corner where the first one ended.
