How to cook useful jam from pine cones?

Jam from pine cones is not only original and tasty, but also it has pronounced healing and bactericidal properties. It is not just a sweet treat, but a real remedy. This is explained by the fact that the pine is a plant containing phytoncides, and, as is known, phytoncides are biologically active substances that suppress the development and growth of microscopic fungi.

To prepare a jam of pine cones, you must first collect the cones yourself, do it in ecologically clean areas away from the roads. In Russia, they are ripped off from May to June. To prepare the best fit young (green and undamaged) cones no more than 14 centimeters in length. Before the collection you need to wear gloves, so as not to stain your hands in the resin.

The use of pine cones is that they contain medicinal substances - phytoncides, vitamins and tannins, which are effective in treating many diseases. Jam from pine cones is widely used in non-traditional medicine, as it is a "storehouse" of useful substances. Tea with such a sweet "medicine" not only has a pleasant aroma and a piquant taste, but also helps with weakened immunity and respiratory diseases.

No less useful is jam from pine buds, which helps with beriberi, cough, cold and gum disease. However, it should be noted that excessive use of this drug can provoke severe migraine and inflammation of the gastric mucosa. People with kidney failure and hepatitis are contraindicated to use it.

The first recipe

Cones put in water and bring it to a boil. In a saucepan, fill a kilogram of sugar (per liter of liquid). Again give a boil and cook over a small fire for an hour and a half. The second recipe is a healing syrup or honey from cones

Boil the cones no more than half an hour. We remove from the fire and leave for a day in the room. Then filter the infusion, and bumps can be thrown away. The result is a delicious honey with a pleasant crimson color and unusual taste. Such pine infusion can be stored in banks for a long time. It is very useful and tasty.

The third recipe is a restorative aid

Each slice is cut into four pieces, sprinkled with sugar and allowed to stand for a little (10 minutes). When they give juice, it is necessary to lay the cones in cans with layers, sprinkle each layer with sugar with the calculation (1: 1). Cover the containers with gauze and leave until the sugar is completely dissolved (periodically shake cans). Infusion can be used as a prophylaxis of colds (in the morning, in the evening) on a teaspoonful.
