Do you know how the Kaiser's omelette is prepared? Probably most of the inhabitants of our country did not even hear about this dish. That is why in the presented article we decided to describe in detail its recipe.

Before I tell you about the preparation of the Kaiser's omelet, I want to tell you what this unusual dish is.

Kaiserscharrarn is a product that is very popular in Austria. It is a floury sweet dish. For its preparation use ingredients, of which pancakes are usually made. After mixing, the base is poured onto a hot frying pan and thoroughly fried on both sides.

As a rule, the Kaiser's omelette is prepared with the use of some sweets. For example, it is often added raisins, candied fruits, nuts, prunes and other dried fruits. The result is an incredibly tasty and sweet dish, which is served exclusively for breakfast as a dessert.

Having once tasted such an omelet, you will do it again and again. After all, it turns out very sweet, delicate and delicious. However, it should be noted that such a dessert has a rather high caloric content. That is why it is highly not recommended to use those people who suffer from obesity or simply do not want to gain excess weight.

So what ingredients are needed to make a delicious Kaiser omelette? The recipe for this sweet dish includes the following ingredients:

  • Eggs raw large - about three pieces;
  • Light flour sifted - about 1.5 cups;
  • Sand sugar - three large spoons;
  • Milk or not very fatty cream - a full glass;
  • Butter - use for frying;
  • A large raisin - five dessert spoons ;
  • Cinnamon - apply at discretion.

Austrian recipes are always distinguished by an unusual way of cooking. And a sweet omelette is no exception. Before it is fried in a pan, a liquid base should be prepared. However, before adding the raisins to the base, you should maximally deprive all moisture. To do this, it is recommended to shake it vigorously in a sieve.

Fry the sweet omelette on the stove

Once the base for the Austrian omelette is ready, and the raisins are soaked, you can safely proceed with the heat treatment of the whole dish. To do this, you need to take a cast-iron frying pan or deep saucepan. In it should put a piece of butter, and then put the dishes on an average fire. After the cooking oil has completely melted, all the egg mixture needs to be poured into the hot dishes. In this form, the dish should be continuously fried over medium heat.

When a sweet omelet is half-fried, it must be sprinkled with previously processed raisins, and also to taste add crushed cinnamon. In this case, fillers should be evenly distributed over the entire surface of the substrate.
