It is known a long time ago that very many plants help a person maintain health. Since ancient times people have been using medicinal plants from very many diseases. And today, despite the achievements of the pharmacological industry, many, in addition to medicines, use herbs as well. If you look closely at these tiny seeds, you will not immediately believe that they can hide such power, such opportunities. What is useful for a flax seed? In order to find out, it is necessary to determine what is included in the composition of the seeds. So, in the composition of flaxseeds there are three main components. The first is omega-3 fatty acids. It is known that one tablespoon of these seeds contains about two grams (to be exact, 1.8 grams) of this very important for human body acid.

The second component, which is part of any flaxseed, is the so-called lignans, which are known to be the most powerful antioxidants. In one small seed of this plant, there are seventy-five to eighty times more lignans than can be found in any other plants.

Insoluble fiber, judging by its name, swells in the stomach and helps to remove harmful foods from the intestines, lowers cholesterol and helps to get rid of bile acids. Soluble fiber also has its useful properties: it helps to absorb cholesterol and bile acids, not allowing them to penetrate into the blood. But soluble fiber has one more feature that also affects flax seeds, the useful properties of which are known to everyone. Getting into the stomach, it turns into jelly and completely fills it, this gives a feeling of saturation. Use these properties can be during weight loss.

So what is the use of a flax seed for any particular disease? First, it is very successfully used to treat cancer. Especially useful is the use of this natural doctor in the treatment of breast, colon, and prostate cancer. After all, omega-three fatty acids are known to prevent the growth of cancer cells. In addition, flax seeds are very successfully used in the treatment of any inflammatory processes. The only contraindication in applying this miracle product, still exists. It is not recommended to give to pregnant women and nursing mothers.
