Everyone has his own Sun Day
The Solar Dynamics Observatory of NASA for the last 3 years has been recording the surface of the Sun with a view to tracing its development. The made pictures have fixed an exciting spectacle - numerous flashes and two large eclipses that have ever taken place. Snapshots (one of them you see) confirm the popular expression "golden sun".
The official beginning of summer from the astrological point of view is considered June 21 - the longest day of the year. It is this short period that can unerringly be called the Day of the Sun. June 21 is called the day of the summer equinox, or the summer solstice, when the slope of the semi-axis of our Earth is most inclined to the Sun. For this reason, June 21 is the longest day of the year. In the current 2013, the Sun celebrated, if I may say so, my day with the strongest flash at 20:15 on Thursday. So a powerful beam of energy was sent to outer space.
"Our Sun"
The sun can be treated differently: it caresses and burns, from the point of view of physics it gives life and brings inconvenience with magnetic storms. But everyone honors him in his own way, and under the phrase "the day of the Sun" everyone understands his own. As for astronomy, two days of solstice are special days for the Sun and Earth. As for people living on planet Earth, for them there is another Day of the Sun, and not one. The entire population of Russia loves and appreciates the work of the outstanding poet Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin, calling him "our everything" or "our Sun". The birthday of the poet is jokingly or seriously called "the birthday of the Sun". Korea, for example, always revered its leader Kim Jong Il, calling it the sun.
For loving parents, the birthday of the most expensive creatures - their children - is also the sunniest day. The Bulgarians have a long cycle of New Year holidays from December 20 to January 1. These days they worship the sun and light as a life-affirming force, and celebrate the birthday of the invincible Sun. As for the Sun itself, according to folk customs, he really has his birthday - this is March 21, or the day of the vernal equinox according to the Fasli calendar, which is compiled taking into account cosmic rhythms. This is also the first day of the holiday called Nourouse, or the "New Day", which according to the Zoroastrian calendar is considered the beginning of the new year. Nourouse is the birthday of the Sun on Earth.
