District Solntsevo. Moscow in historical details

It is a flourishing district of Solntsevo (Moscow) and it is located not far from all the famous Moscow Ring Road. Its wonderful name was given in honor of the once existing city. Not so long ago, residents celebrated the thirtieth anniversary of their historic "piece of Moscow". They worked diligently on its cleanliness and accomplishment, so we can safely say that Solntsevo (Moscow region) is a great place to take root and enjoy living in it.

A bit of history

Approximately at the beginning of the seventeenth century, in its place, not far from the White-stone, existed and lived its measured life of a small village called Sukovo. At that time it belonged to the princes of Trubetskoi. A couple of centuries later, just a couple of kilometers from the village, a railway line was built along with the station.

This contributed to the rapid growth of the population, and in 1926 the village already numbered about four hundred people. Perhaps this would continue to this day, if not for the reforms that took place in 1935. The issue concerned the construction and reconstruction of Moscow. These changes have not bypassed the aforementioned village. A decree was issued, in connection with which near the village was built about three hundred separate houses on a free for building territory. Obviously, the residents became much more, and the village no longer pulled on the status of the "village". That is why the question arose about his new name. As a result, Sukovo was renamed the Solntsevo district (Moscow). The name has taken root, and to this day residents of the district are proud of its euphoniousness. Under what circumstances did Solntsevo become part of Moscow? February 23, 1971 was a landmark day. It was then that the settlement was transformed into a city of regional subordination, and after about thirteen years it was already considered an official part of Moscow, and on the map of the capital a new district - Solntsevsky - was already adorned.

Modern development of the region

It would be quite logical to expect that along with the new status, the new settlement will have a new life. And what about Moscow without new buildings? The pace of construction has increased rapidly. Schools, kindergartens and other institutions of the social sphere began to appear. It is worth noting that the whole town-planning policy of the district was mainly aimed at the construction of residential buildings. Alas, on the background of this, the erection of objects of engineering and other social infrastructure suffered significantly. The number of residents in Solntsevo (Moscow region) has increased rapidly. In no other place of the capital did such a high population growth occur. There was a need for additional training and educational institutions, health facilities and even sports sections. When it became gradually satisfied, another problem arose-the Solntsevo district (Moscow) began to consume too much electricity. This was a real deficit, but eventually this situation began to be gradually corrected. This problem finally disappeared in 2009, when the construction of the Tereshkovo gas-turbine power station was completed. Recently, all the forces of the region are focused on building the long-awaited metro and other necessary transport interchanges.

What is the area of Solntsevo (Moscow) now? It can be said with certainty that ecology and cleanliness have always been at a high level. Solntsevo today belongs to the Western District of Moscow and has about one hundred and seventeen thousand inhabitants.
